In this episode, the theory of intersectionality is defined and referenced with stress-related indicators of Black women’s experiences with marginalization and socioeconomic hardships. Followed by an interview discussion with a higher education professional Dr. Laura Lubin, Associate Director, Faculty Support – Academic Affairs at the American University – Kogod School of Business. The goal of this podcast episode is to provide working professionals who experience stress of exclusion based on gender, race, and class with mindful practices on how they can reduce the stress associated with exclusion while pursuing higher education and professional advancement.
