Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Exodus 14:29

The past is behind you. It’s time to move forward with joy and faith.

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: JOY
Spend time meditating on what salvation means to you and how it brings you joy.

Today’s story highlights God’s deliverance of the Israelites at the Red Sea and His provision through manna. It reminds us to trust Him to make a way in impossible situations and move forward with joy and faith, leaving the past behind.
    STORY
Bible in a Year: God Protects and Provides
    Scripture
By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.

    Exodus 13:21

Sometimes the past comes running after you. Bad habits, toxic relationships, habituals sins… You’ve tried to run. But sometimes, you feel trapped.

Maybe you’ve felt like the Israelites. They had the joy of being freed from slavery and follow God boldly into the unknown. But then they hear the sound of chariots approaching… Pharoah has returned. The Isrealites are caught between Pharoah’s armies and the Red Sea, in a seemingly impossible situation.

This episode of Bible in a Year reminds us that God always makes a way - a way to freedom, salvation, and hope.

The parting of the Red Sea is a profound symbol of God's ability to make a way where there seems to be none. It also serves as a reminder of His promise to deliver us from seemingly impossible situations. Meanwhile, the manna from heaven that came afterward highlights God's constant care and provision, even when we doubt.

God will deliver you from your situation, but he’ll also provide for you in the struggle.

    REFLECTION
Consider the areas in your life where you feel trapped or lost. How can you cultivate a deeper trust in God's guidance and provision? Let the story of the Israelites' journey inspire you to rely on God's direction and care, especially in times of uncertainty and fear.

    PRAYER
But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
    EXODUS 14:29
As I greet my new day, I thank You that like the cloud by day and pillar of fire at night, in Exodus, You are guiding and leading me into my promised land. As I move forward I will not succumb to the spirt of fear, for I know You did not bring me this far to become a slave to fear. When I feel overwhelmed I will remain silent and hold fast to the promise that You will fight for me in the face of adversity. So let my faith represent the staff of Moses, as I place it in the sea of adversity I will stand firm because I know You will part the sea and allow me to walk through on dry ground. I will not worry about the haters in my life, for I know that You will silence them so that I can continue to take ground in my promised land! I declare that no weapon formed against me shall prosper because I am Yours and You are mine! Thank You for being my champion now and forevermore! I declare that I am closer to my promise than I realize! Thank You that You satisfy my needs, in abundance and with nourishment. I will be grateful for my daily bread because I know that You are the God that protects and provides and I know this full well! In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 🙏🏾

Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Ephesians 6:13

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”
    EPHESIANS 6:13

    DEVOTION
    Based on Ephesians 6
Paul reminds us that we must actively equip ourselves with the full armor of God to stand firm in spiritual battles. The “evil day” may come in the form of trials, temptations, or attacks against our faith. We are vulnerable without God’s armor—truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, the Word, and prayer.

Standing firm doesn’t mean the battle won’t come, but it means we are prepared to endure, resist, and overcome through Christ. Victory is not in our strength but in God’s power working through us.

Take a moment tonight to assess your spiritual armor. Breathe out fear and insecurity, and breathe in God’s strength. Ask Him to equip you daily to stand firm in faith.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Praise God for being your protector and provider of spiritual strength. Worship Him as the One who equips you for every challenge and battle.

CONFESSION: Reflect on times when you’ve tried to fight spiritual battles without relying on God’s armor. Confess any areas of weakness where you have not fully equipped yourself.

THANKSGIVING: Thank God for providing everything you need to stand firm against the enemy. Express gratitude for His faithfulness in sustaining you through past struggles.

SUPPLICATION: Father, help me put on Your full armor daily. Strengthen me to stand firm in faith, clothed in Your truth, righteousness, and salvation. Teach me to wield Your Word's sword and pray with perseverance. Let me remain steadfast, knowing You fight for me.

    PRAYER
“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”
    EPHESIANS 6:13
Dear Lord, You are the source of our strength. You have given us a spiritual armor that can stand up to any attack from the evil one. Your truth is like a shield around us, protecting us from lies and deception. Your righteousness stands as a breastplate over our hearts, keeping them safe and secure in Your love. Your Word is our belt of truth, keeping us from being fooled. Your gospel of peace gives us a firm footing so that we can stand unshaken in any situation. We thank You, Lord, for the armor that You have provided us with and the strength to endure any battle. May this spiritual armor keep us safe as we fight against evil on this earth and may it remind us of Your unfailing love and protection. We pray in Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏🏾

Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Ephesians 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
    EPHESIANS 6:12

    DEVOTION
    Based on Ephesians 6
This verse reminds us that our struggles go beyond the physical—they are spiritual battles requiring spiritual strength. The conflicts we face—temptation, fear, discouragement—are external and influenced by unseen forces working against God’s kingdom.

Rather than fighting with human effort, we must rely on God’s power. Through prayer, faith, and the armor of God, we stand firm against spiritual attacks. The enemy seeks to deceive, divide, and weaken us, but victory is found in Christ.

Take a moment tonight to recognize the real battle. Breathe out fear, and breathe in God’s power. Ask Him to equip you with His strength to stand firm against the enemy’s schemes.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Praise God as the ultimate victor over all spiritual forces. Worship Him for His power that equips and protects you in every battle.

CONFESSION: Reflect on times when you’ve fought in your own strength rather than relying on God. Confess any fear or doubt that has kept you from standing firm in faith.

THANKSGIVING: Thank God for providing spiritual armor and the strength to resist the enemy. Express gratitude for His presence, which sustains you in every struggle.

SUPPLICATION: Father, help me to recognize the true battle and rely on Your strength. Clothe me with Your armor so I can stand firm against spiritual attacks. Strengthen my faith, sharpen my discernment, and let me walk in victory, knowing that You have already overcome the darkness.

    PRAYER
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
    EPHESIANS 6:12
Dear God, You are mighty and can thwart all the evil that presses against my heart. Remind me that the battle of good and evil does not happen between people, but the ideologies and principalities that would seek to lead people astray. Help me to see that people are not the enemy, rather, give me spiritual vision to see what You see. I want to put my efforts where it really counts, and win the war within. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾

Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Mark 14:38

Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.”
    MARK 14:38

    DEVOTION
    Based on Mark 14
Jesus spoke these words to His disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane, urging them to stay spiritually vigilant. He knew that human weakness makes us vulnerable to temptation, even when our hearts desire to do what is right. Without prayer and spiritual alertness, we risk falling into sin and drifting from God’s will.

The struggle between spirit and flesh is real, but God provides strength through prayer. When we seek Him, He empowers us to resist temptation and remain steadfast in faith. Prayer isn’t just a habit—it’s our defense against weakness.

Take a moment tonight to examine your spiritual vigilance. Breathe out distractions, and breathe in God’s strength. Ask Him to help you remain watchful and prayerful, relying on His power rather than your own.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Praise God for His guidance and protection. Worship Him as the One who strengthens you against temptation and leads you in righteousness.

CONFESSION: Reflect on times when you’ve given in to temptation due to spiritual neglect. Confess any struggles with weakness, asking God for a renewed heart and discipline in prayer.

THANKSGIVING: Thank God for His mercy and grace, which restore you even when you fall. Express gratitude for the power of prayer and His willingness to strengthen you in times of need.

SUPPLICATION: Father, help me to remain spiritually alert. Teach me to watch and pray, trusting in Your strength instead of my own. Strengthen my spirit to overcome temptation and keep my heart focused on You. Let my life reflect a dependence on Your power and not the weakness of my flesh.

    PRAYER
“Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.”
    MARK 14:38
Dear Lord, Sometimes, I feel like I am being pulled in two different directions. My spirit longs to obey You, but my flesh pulls me toward sin. I know prayer is the weapon against temptation, and intimacy with You is how I find restoration. So I pray now and always that You pull me away from sin and toward You! Keep me far from wickedness, Lord, and save me from myself. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾

Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Hebrews 12:2

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
    HEBREWS 12:2

    DEVOTION
    Based on Hebrews 12
This verse reminds us to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, who began and perfected our faith. He endured suffering joyfully because He saw the eternal purpose beyond the pain. His victory over the cross encourages us to persevere through trials, knowing that our struggles are temporary compared to the glory that awaits us.

Jesus exemplifies endurance, faith, and unwavering trust in God. When we focus on Him, distractions, fears, and hardships lose their power over us. He strengthens us to keep running the race set before us with confidence in His plan.

Take a moment tonight to shift your focus to Jesus. Breathe out discouragement, and breathe in His strength. Ask Him to help you endure with faith and joy, knowing He has already secured the victory.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Praise Jesus as the perfecter of your faith, the One who endured the cross and is now victorious. Worship Him for His love, sacrifice, and triumph over sin and death.

CONFESSION: Reflect on times when you’ve lost sight of Jesus, focusing instead on your struggles. Confess any doubts, fears, or distractions that have pulled you away from trusting Him.

THANKSGIVING: Thank God for the endurance and strength He gives through Christ. Express gratitude that He has walked the path before you, making way for your victory.

SUPPLICATION: Father, help me to fix my eyes on Jesus. Teach me to trust in His perfect plan, even in trials. Give me endurance to run my race with faith, knowing that my hope is secure in Him. Let His joy strengthen me, and may my life reflect His victory.

    PRAYER
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
    HEBREWS 12:2
Dear Jesus, Your commitment to carry to the cross for our shame is a testament to Your unwavering will and resolve. You didn’t consider suffering as a reason to run, rather, despising sin and shame You ran towards suffering. I pray that I would have a fraction of that same resolve. I pray You would anoint me and fill me with strength to endure whatever trials come my way. All for the sake of Your kingdom, Lord. In Your name, I pray, Amen. 🙏🏾

God promises complete transformation—replacing our hardened hearts with hearts of flesh, sensitive to His voice. Our natural tendency is resistance, but through His Spirit, He softens us, making us responsive to His guidance. This renewal is not based on our strength but on His divine work within us.

A new heart means new desires, new purpose, and a life aligned with God’s will. His Spirit empowers us to walk in obedience, not as a burden but as a joyful response to His love. This is the essence of true spiritual renewal—God does the work, and we live in His grace.

Take a moment tonight to reflect on the state of your heart. Breathe out stubbornness, and breathe in God’s renewing Spirit. Ask Him to soften your heart and lead you in His ways.

I pray that I would be transformed every day by Your Spirit. I pray that You would constantly convict and comfort me through Your Spirit. Wherever my heart is hardened, like rocky soil, I pray You would soften. Till the ground of my heart so I may be fertile for Your work. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾

  • Episode 1254 - Jarvis Kingston You are called to be a part of something greater than yourself and your abilities Devotional Exodus 3:2-7 🔥
    Feb 15 2025
Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Exodus 3:2

You are called to be apart of something greater than yourself and your abilities.

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: JOY
Laugh today—watch something funny or share a joke with a friend.

Today’s story focuses on Moses’ encounter with the burning bush, where God calls him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. It shows that God uses seasons of uncertainty to prepare us for greater purposes and challenges us to embrace His call with faith and courage.
    STORY
Bible in a Year: A Conversation with Fire
    Scripture
Then the Lord said, 'I have observed the misery of my people who are in Egypt; I have heard their cry on account of their taskmasters. Indeed, I know their sufferings.'

    Exodus 3:7
You may run in shame, but God’s calling on your life will remain.

Moses ran and thought he was done with Egypt, the Hebrews, and a complicated life. He was wrong. God was grooming him to be a Shepherd of His people.

In this Bible in a Year episode, we witness Moses' transition from a life of privilege to a period of uncertainty. After killing an Egyptian and fleeing to Midian, Moses finds himself in a place of isolation, far from the life he once knew. Yet, it is here, in the wilderness, that God speaks to him through the burning bush, calling him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt.

This story is a powerful testament to how God often uses our periods of uncertainty and isolation to prepare us and call us to greater purposes. Moses' encounter with the burning bush is a pivotal moment where fear and doubt give way to a sense of divine mission.

It teaches us that God's plans often unfold in unexpected ways and that He can use our most challenging experiences to shape our destiny.

    REFLECTION
Have you been running from your calling because of shame or doubt in your abilities? God rarely calls us to something within our comfort zones. We are called to face the unknown with courage and lead the charge of redemption. Consider the ways in which you can be open to God's calling, even when it comes from the most unexpected places.

    PRAYER
And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
    EXODUS 3:2
Like Moses Lord, open my eyes to see that I am a survivor! Open my eyes to see that I am called, even when my calling is questioned by those who don’t believe. Give me God moments that will illuminate my mind and heart like the burning bush in Genesis. I declare that I will no longer try to convince others that I have a purpose but instead when questioned I will tell them that God co-signed my life and purpose. When I feel unworthy, strengthen me and affirm me Lord. Anoint my speech so that it will flow like the oil of heaven, let my words be sweet to the ears like honey is to the taste. I declare that I will no longer look down on myself nor on my capabilities because You have equipped me with the ability to move in signs and wonders. Therefore… I am not alone, I declare that I am not helpless because The God of the Universe has called me and has validated my Life. Look out future, because I am on the move and I am ready to grab all that God has for me! I am the one! I am chosen! In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 🙏🏾
