Steven holds a Master of Leadership, along with a degree in education, coursework in change management, organizational behaviour, executive human resource management, and strategic planning.


    To build wellness into his own life, he enjoys time with his family, connecting with nature through hikes and off leash visits with his dog, as well as tennis, camping and sailing. Steven shared his powerful personal story of hitting rock bottom from burnout after pushing himself too hard juggling career, family, and personal responsibilities.


    His past experiences opened his eyes to how easily anyone can become overloaded and depleted without proper self-care. Stephen shared insights from consulting organizations on building healthy cultures, like adjusting meeting times for better work-life integration.

    Dave Rotheroe is a former punk rock violinist who shifted gears into eCommerce entrepreneurship in 2015 launching a hot sauce subscription box and the world's first (and only) grilled cheese subscription box service.

    After a number of years in ecomm and focusing heavily on customer acquisition he found an affinity for paid advertising through following Frank Kern. Shortly after he was acquired as Frank's lead media buyer and eventually started combining the concepts of virality that he developed in ecomm to clients to hockey-stick their ad performance and profitability.

    Since then, Dave has gone on to form Grip, the advertising agency trusted by the likes of Russell Brunson, ClickFunnels, Magnetic Marketing (Dan Kennedy), and many more.

    Their unique blend of rapid ad creative split-testing with a team of world class media buyers across Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, Snap, Pinterest and Bing see's them spend unto a million dollars per week in a single account and test as many as 3,500 unique pieces of creative in any single account per year.

    In this episode we discuss Dave's focus for the year ahead, the importance of scaling slowly, and why he's going sober for all of 2024.
