  • New Year, Same Mess | Ep. 18
    Jan 3 2025

This episode, we talk resolutions, (lose half a pound, answer texts in 4-5 hours), dive into a some STEAMY listeners questions and shoot our shot with our dream guests Shawty Bae & Tana Mongeau (DM us, queens!).

This week’s advice questions include a steamy wine-fest escapade hookup, messy work crushes, hopeless romantics at 33, and what’s actually wrong with men. We also reflect on lessons we want to take into the new year, career wins, and trusting the universe’s Divine Timing. In 2025 we’re letting go and letting God handle the rest. Except underwear in hospitals - we think you should not “let go” of that.

  • Sinterklaas & Infidelity | Ep. 17
    Dec 27 2024

In this Christmas-themed episode, we dive into festive fun as we explore our personalities as Christmas songs, and along the way, we reflect on how holiday traditions shape us and share some childhood stories about our holiday traditions including Sinterklaas and leaving marbles and walnuts in our shoes, uncovering the fraud that is Santa, to the famous “White Trash White Elephant” gift exchange.

We also tackle a listener's dilemma about her friend Becca being a “pick-me”, lusting after a taken woman, and share a few insane LA stories about famous actors being sh*tty husbands (shocker). Plus, we end with a semi-heartfelt gift exchange

Join us for a mix of humor, introspection, and holiday spirit as we wrap up the year with gratitude and a little bit of Christmas magic. Thank you for following along with us schoolies! We’ve got one more episode to close out 2025. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more episodes! 🎄

  • Brighter Days Ahead | Episode 16
    Dec 21 2024

Apologies for the delay schoolies. Jesse has been girlbossing too close to the sun and got behind. BUT FRET NOT! This episode kicks off doing what we do best - labeling and categorizing each other’s personalities. Can you guess which girl is “coded” as the following? Comment your guesses!

CVS Sun (highly medicated, makeup flawless)

Hobby Lobby Moon (crafty, homebody, gets the yapping zoomies before bed)

Walmart Moon (need underwear, tampons, and a f*rearm? look no further!)

Then, we design each other’s dating profiles and finally we discuss how we believe our future children will be/act like.

  • Live, Laugh, Love at Dave & Busters | Ep. 15
    Dec 6 2024

Jesse, Alana, and Izzy stumble through their oh-so-enlightened realizations about love, including why "dangerous" people are not your soulmate (shocking), and how stability is not boring—just grown. Somewhere, a therapist is beaming with pride. Jesse spills about going to Dave & Buster’s on election day…as a first date. Alana reflects on her apocalyptic last venture to Dave & Busters featuring a heroic dose of mushrooms and menstruation. Alana drops life-changing wisdom for Jesse and gives the girls, gays and dolls an anthem: You’re nobodies f*** mop. Let’s just say if you’re scrubbing up after some emotionally unavailable ding-dong, this episode is your intervention.

  • Cold Sores, Crying, & Nightmare Bl*nt Rotation | Ep. 14
    Nov 30 2024

We’re serving literary debuts, dream blunt rotations, and sharing our latest crying session. Alana’s debut novel Hardly Strangers is officially OUT, and the chaos of writing it is giving "main character breakdowns but make it chic." From outlining (who knew it works?) to full-on psychosis, Alana spills all the tea on crafting her romance masterpiece. Next, we’re diving into our ultimate dream/nightmare blunt rotation, and let’s just say it’s chaotic AF. Think Katt Williams, Gabby Windey, JoJo Siwa, and Azealia Banks all stuck in a hot boxed trailer. Sprinkle in a little extra chaos and throw Grimes into the mix (but only if you’re feeling brave). Would it be iconic? Probably. A total nightmare? Absolutely. Get ready for laughs, existential dread, and a dash of heartwarming chaos. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe, because if we’re crying over cold sores and obituaries, the least you can do is follow along. 💅 Submit advice questions: tinyurl.com/nightschooladvice Follow us on Instagram @nightschoolpod Subscribe on Spotify https://open.spotify.com/show/3wkYfJqQy50A1ED8gGA89b?si=9989cc5f9f6941b7 Follow Jesse on Instagram @jessezand Follow Alana on Instagram @alanacloudrobinson & Substack: https://substack.com/@acrobinson Follow Izzy on Instagram @astreetcarnamedesire “Hardly Strangers” out now: https://831stories.com/products/hardly-strangers-by-a-c-robinson Produced by Keida Mascaro

  • Hardly Strangers: Embrace the PLUR | Ep. 13
    Nov 20 2024

TL;DR: Hardly Strangers is the romance novel you didn’t know you needed, this pod ep will make you laugh-cry, and if Alana doesn’t write a sequel, Jesse is showing up with a pitchfork. 🌈📚

    “Hardly Strangers” out now: https://831stories.com/products/hardly-strangers-by-a-c-robinson

Babe, you’re not ready for this week’s NiGHT SCHOOL. Our literary icon Alana Cloud-Robinson has blessed the world with Hardly Strangers, her debut novel that’s part romance, part emotional therapy session, and 100% iconic. Naturally, we dedicate the entire episode to breaking it down, crying over it, and, of course, demanding a sequel because we’re invested.

Jesse kicks things off already spiraling, demanding to know what happens after the book ends. Pancakes? Paris? Babies?

Alana details going “full Stephen King mode” writing it in a fugue state, only to later panic about whether it’s good (spoiler: it’s great). Isabella and Jesse devour it like it’s brunch after a night out, sobbing over the audiobook (even the acknowledgments, because this crew is dramatic).

Speaking of emotional journeys, the gang dives deep into the book’s climactic moment, where Shera confronts her deepest trauma. Alana reveals this was inspired by her own life, describing how writing it was both cathartic and soul-crushing. Jesse applauds her for turning pain into art, while also demanding justice for the fictional characters she left hanging.

Oh, and the anecdotes? Gold. Alana casually reveals she once took a walk with a random man while waiting for her date to show up. Bold. Jesse spirals into full Misery mode, vowing to kidnap Alana if she doesn’t write a sequel. Isabella sprinkles in deep life lessons like, “Vulnerability isn’t wasted” and “Embrace the plur” (because yes, EDM somehow makes its way into the episode).

Ultimately, this episode is a love letter to Alana’s book, to fleeting moments of connection, and to the power of laying it all on the line—even if it’s scary. It’s chaotic, heartfelt, and hilarious.

  • A Beautiful Mind with Queen Lianna | Ep. 11

This episode was inspired by a comment on our viral shrimp clip. Shoutout @bekahsunday who correctly guessed Alana was an Aquarius - this one for you girl. We have astrology expert and singer/songwriter Lianna Townsley joining us this week! Lianna breaks down Jesse and Alana’s charts, what they’re both like in relationships, and how their charts interact with one another and inform their relationship with each other.
