  • With a snap of a finger, we wish we can make change in our lives with no pain, no stress, no fear, just the results we want. Unfortunately this will never be true. As a former Corporate HR Executive turned professional House Painter, I understand how the decision to make a change in our lives affects us and those closest to us. In HR I helped colleagues deal with uncontrollable change and as a painter I get to change the color of space that surrounds us. Join me for each show where learnings are shared from my own experiences making significant changes in my life, as well as others who have stories of their own to share. Find a happier life to live when you have the tools to see when change is necessary, decide to make a change, have the courage to accept the changes to come, and how to destroy the fear that is holding you back.

The challenge those decision makers struggled with was understanding the consequences of change to the employees they served. It fascinated me to see how change affects others. Are you able to simply change lanes on your current path? What "bucket" do you fit into when it comes to change and is it possible to change your way of thinking about change?     In this #PFT, I share the importance of talking out your thoughts, feelings, and aspirations when deciding to change "lanes". When you decide to make a significant change in your life, you kinda put yourself on an island. An island that feels lonely and misunderstood. It's not easy to say good-bye to the happenings of the past and embrace a hopeful future. I remember feeling the most overhwelmed when I decided to NOT pursue my current career path. Depression, anxiety and fear a plenty. What got me through it was simply talking it out with trusted confidants.Talking it out may even help you as you embark through change too.
