Are you struggling to get everything done? Are you especially stressing this holiday season? Here are 4 ways to take back your schedule so you can stay on track with your weight loss goals, even through the Christmas season.
1. Plan your month. Get a monthly calendar and schedule everything. Then break it down week by week. This will help you see what you MUST do and add in the empty pockets as you wish.
2. Schedule rest. My students think I'm crazy when I tell them this but most of them don't make time to rest, like ever. God calls us clearly in His word to keep the Sabbath HOLY. We're not doing laundry or cleaning, we're at church, we're spending time with people we love, serving, focusing on HIM. I don't care what day you do it, but DO IT. It is written.
3. Learn to say "no thank you" or "i have plans" even if your plan is scheduled rest, it's STILL scheduled. If Susie calls you Saturday to meet for lunch but you've planned to rest, take a rain check, she will understand.
4. What do you actually want to do or feel called to do? It's ok to start new traditions or say no thanks to a party that will make you sacrifice your God-given convictions. Your only duty in this life is to live for Jesus, you shouldn't be justifying your plans to anyone but Him.
Ask God to lead you where HE needs you then have the strength and courage to walk in faithful obedience. Time is our most PRECIOUS commodity, spend it wisely.
