  • Saving America Week in Review with Guests Lana Centonze and Maria Dunn
    Oct 25 2024
    • As if Kamala Harris needed any help losing votes, now it seems that a petulant Joe Biden, unimpressed at his recent irrelevancy, is sabotaging her campaign.
    • Harris’ honeymoon period is over, and in her panic, she’s flinging money around and racist stereotypes. But is she alienating the very people she’s trying – and failing – to reach?
    • A public university in Arizona allowed Kamala Harris access to their student’s contact information so she could text the entire school asking for their vote – and naturally, the students are up in arms about it.
    • The Department of Justice is using OUR TAXDOLLARS to sue Virginia for removing names of ineligible people from their voting registries. So much for a free and fair election!
    • Idaho Governor Brad Little praised Boise State’s decision to prioritize athlete safety and forfeit a women’s volleyball game because the opposing team included a male player. At least there are some sane politicians left!
    • Walgreens and CVS are closing stores and laying off workers, but the reasons behind those decisions are more complicated than they seem.
    • A new documentary, “State Organs,” exposes that the Chinese government sanctions forced organ harvesting of political prisoners. I cannot believe this is happening in 2024.
    • A Michigan brewery named their new beer after the new human who was born in their parking lot. The baby will also receive free beer for life.
    • Lana Centonze has the potential to reshape Houston’s District 18, which wallowed in mediocrity for 30 years on Sheila Jackson Lee’s watch. She discusses how being an immigrant and a government employee shaped and improved her capabilities, and some of the major issues she’ll fight for in Congress, on Saving America!
    • Voting in #Election2024 isn’t only about the race for president, though sometimes the media makes it feel that way! I dive into some other key issues on Houston’s ballot, this week on Saving America!
    • When we think about Halloween, we think about kids in scary costumes. But what about the real-life horrors who waste our tax dollars, commit crimes and allow others to commit crimes? Today I look back on three such villains I’ve featured on Saving America in the past: Katie Couric, Sheila Jackson Lee, and John Fetterman.
    • If elected, Maria Dunn will only serve in Congress for a few short weeks. She dropped in to talk to me about why she feels compelled to run anyway, and how her experiences living in a variety of places and working in the energy industry have fitted her for governing.
    • 3rd party candidates Cornel West and Claudia de la Cruz have been blocked from appearing on the 2024 presidential ballots by the Georgia Supreme Court.
    • Many of the January 6th defendants are already having their cases re-evaluated because of the Supreme Court’s obstruction ruling (which also impacted claims against Donald Trump). Even more of these cases will be disrupted by the new court ruling that finds geofencing warrants unconstitutional.
    • Johnson & Johnson’s famous baby powder has been linked to ovarian cancer, and the settlement is strongly reminiscent of the Johns Manville asbestos settlement of the late 1980s.

  • Saving America Week In Review with guests Claudio Gutierrez and Professor Amy Wax
    Oct 18 2024
    • After a year of war, Israel is taking a more proactive approach in their (largely proxy) war with the terrorists, and cleaning house in the Middle East. The whole world is waiting to see what they will do if (when?) they take on Iran directly.
    • Miffed that DeSantis was too busy actually governing instead of taking her phone calls, Harris decided to crawl out of the basement for a couple of interviews. And what did she go with? Meaningless soundbites on a sex talk podcast and The View.
    • As if Republicans don’t have enough to worry about with the varying poll results for the 2024 Election, the most conservative parts of swing state North Carolina were also hardest hit during Hurricane Helene. This could disproportionately affect the conservative cause.
    • George Soros has asked the FCC to streamline his takeover of 200 radio stations. Regardless of your political position, I feel like it’s blatantly obvious that one entity owning that many media assets is bad for both freedom of the press and democracy itself.
    • Layoffs were up 53% in September when compared to 2023. Regardless of who wins the 2024 election, America may be headed for some tough economic times.
    • Hillary Clinton, Miss Irrelevancy herself, wants to repeal Section 230 because censorship would disproportionately benefit her party. Quite the Bitter Old Biddy!
    • Chinese hackers have stolen information from U.S. broadband providers that was intended for court-authorized wiretapping. We MUST do better at hardening our digital security and computer infrastructure.
    • A rescue dog in Washington state stopped traffic and led a policeman into the woods to her injured 84-year-old owner, saving his life in return.
    • This week I sat down with political refugee turned political candidate Claudio Gutierrez to discuss his history, how that shaped his political ideology, and what he hopes to accomplish in the Texas legislature.
    • Jim McIngvale is a wealthy businessman better known as “Mattress Mack,” and he takes care of Houston residents – and honestly disaster victims nationwide - like no one else. Mattress Mack is saving America.
    • Why is it that every time there’s a major disaster in Texas, we all look with trepidation at the power grid – and yet we do nothing to harden the grid or hold the providers responsible? Centerpoint Energy is failing America.
    • Donald Trump has promised to end the Biden/ Harris administration’s moratorium on the death penalty on day 1 in office. We need this deterrent to fight the recent wave of crime and increase in murders of police officers.
    • Minor political parties and independent candidates have a rough time getting their names on ballots. They sued in Texas over the requirements, and the courts ruled against them using the controversial Anderson-Burdick test.
    • Google is being sued for anti-competitive practices under the 1890 Sherman Anti-trust Act, specifically over its exclusivity deals on pre-loaded mobile software. It doesn’t look great for them.
    • Trump’s campaign has been ordered to stop using music by Isaac Hayes, the latest in a line of legal issues they’ve had with music licensing. There’s an actual process for using music in a political campaign, and I get into it this week!
    • Professor Amy Wax recently grabbed the national spotlight when her comments about minority students went viral. We sat down this week to talk about affirmative action, her being rebranded a racist, and how UPenn first attacked and then tried to silence her.

  • Saving America Week in Review with Guests Mandy Gunasekara and John Gardner
    Oct 12 2024
    • The loss and devastation caused by Hurricane Helene is staggering – and this is coming from the Gulf Coast, where we certainly see our share. I urge all levels of government to act now to help the rebuilding effort. There is no time to play politics on this!
    • America has kicked the government shutdown can down the road, sacrificing election integrity on the altar of fear.
    • Israel is finally beginning to assert itself with organized, sustained attacks against the Iran-backed terrorist groups that threaten it. Will the next step be targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities? Only time will tell.
    • Four years after Trump got the Abraham Accords signed, trade is booming between the Middle Eastern countries in question. Though the accords were signed for economic reasons, hopefully this is a step toward peaceful coexistence in the region.
    • After 2 hard-fought years, Russia has taken the Vuhledar from Ukraine, gaining access to an important railroad line connecting Crimea and the Donbas region. Realists are cautioning that Russia is ahead in the war and unlikely to lose, despite Zelensky’s optimistic claims to the contrary.
    • The VP debate was, candidly, a big yawn. It represents 2 hours of my life I’ll never get back, and was simply irrelevant to the presidential election.
    • China’s newest nuclear submarine sank in its dock, which is admittedly a little funny. But the U.S. must develop a major fleet of nuclear subs, while continuing to advance technologically, to ensure it remains in control.
    • Ford has announced the Support Belt, which is a seat belt accessory meant to help mastectomy patients ride comfortably in cars – and they’re giving them away for free on their website.
    • This week I met up with Mandy Gunasekara, who was Chief of Staff at the EPA under Trump, to talk about why America needed to pull out of the Paris accord, the problem of the Deep State, and the solutions she suggests in her new book “Y’all Fired: A Southern Belle’s Guide to Restoring Federalism and Draining the Swamp.”
    • Consortium News is suing Newsguard & the Pentagon, claiming that their 1st amendment rights are being violated – and their allegations do hold water.
    • It is long past time for America to pivot its primary focus away from mere social trends and back to actual existential issues, such as the increasingly dangerous cold war with China.
    • The Longshoreman strike was set to have substantial economic impact – and miraculously, it’s been delayed until after the election. I smell a rat.
    • Rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs has been arrested for a litany of serious crimes, including racketeering and sex trafficking, and has been denied bail twice (so far) for fear he’ll attempt to intimidate witnesses. -
    • The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of the Republicans, who sued to reinstate a law that requires Arizona voters to provide proof of citizenship when registering to vote.
    • SCOTUS recently ruled that pregnant women in Idaho who are facing medical emergencies can still receive abortions when medically necessary – for now.
    • My guest this week is John Gardner, who went from high school dropout to major manufacturing entrepreneur. Listen in as we chat about his journey, the problem of offshoring labor, and his book “Manufacture Local: How to Make America the Manufacturing Superpower of the World.”
    • In North Carolina, a 16-year-old sued his school after they suspended him for using the phrase “illegal alien” when asking his teacher a question about an assignment.
    • The ACLU used to be an organization that stood up for equal rights for minorities, which is a worthy cause. But it now stands for opposing basic American values, and has long outlived its usefulness.

Saving America with Guests David Baumblatt and Mary E. Jackson

    • According to their own recently released internal polling data, the Teamsters overwhelmingly support Trump for president. Their leadership has decided to endorse no one in #Election2024, and the choice stinks of backroom-dealing.
    • Apparently, Democrats are concerned that the polls are consistently undercounting Trump’s support again. And they are absolutely right to be concerned.
    • Between Putin’s “joking” endorsement of Harris, and Iran’s recent threats on Trump’s life and hacks of his campaign, I know which way I’m voting this November. And, spoiler alert, it’s not for terrorist-backed Kamala Harris!
    • Congressman Comer wants to know if Biden tried to use Ukraine’s president Zelenskyy to benefit Harris’ campaign when he visited Governor Josh Shapiro in Pennsylvania recently. And frankly, so do I.
    • I’m having trouble imagining that anyone actually needs to be TOLD to leave Lebanon, what with it being center stage lately in the #IsraelHezzbollahWar. But yes, in case you’ve been camped out in an underground bunker: leave now before you can’t.
    • More bad economic news comes with even more store closings. And we’re meant to think Harris can make decent decisions for the economy after learning from Biden all this time?
    • Elon Musk has announced an ambition timeframe for SpaceX to send first unmanned, then manned, missions to Mars.
    • David Baumblatt is a soldier turned government agent turned whistleblower and expat – and now, he’s not welcome back in the United States.
    • What is the Taft-Hartley Act, and what does it have to do with the longshoreman strike?
    • In an unusual – but increasingly more common – turn of events, the father of the 14yo Georgia school shooter has been arrested for allowing his son access to a weapon, and charged with involuntary manslaughter, 2nd degree murder, and cruelty to children.
    • The presidents of several Ivy League universities made headlines recently by failing to condemn calls for genocide at their schools. These antisemites are failing America.
    • My guest Elizabeth Jackson is an internationally bestselling author, podcaster, and advocate for special needs kids. Tune in to hear us chat about her work with Autism TN, learn about her podcasts Writers Corner Live and Cover to Cover, and hear her tips on how to write a successful book!
    • America’s own Big Brother, the FBI, is demanding that banks and credit card companies report if you buy a bible, a firearm, or shop at a sporting goods store. Apparently, these are now signs of domestic terrorism.

  • Week in Review for 9_28_24
    Sep 28 2024
    • A second attempt has been made on former president Trump’s life in a short period of time. I have to wonder if the government employees in charge, largely Democrats, are intentionally not providing him adequate protection.
    • Hillary Clinton seized the latest Trump assassination attempt as an excuse to market her new book. She forgot a few details though, which I’m helpfully providing here. Very generous, aren’t I?
    • Content Warning: Depicts a detailed account of what could be your story if the Soros-backed, soft-on-crime DAs continue in the United States under incompetent Democrat leaders. Viewer discretion is advised.
    • Voting from overseas is a pretty exploitable system under the UOCAVA act. The Democratic party hopes to gain 9 million overseas votes from the 2.8 million voting-age US citizens abroad. You do the math.
    • In the key swing state of Pennsylvania, not only can you vote by mail with no ID and no signature matching – now your ballot doesn’t even have to be dated? This is ridiculous. We need universal, comprehensive ballot security to ensure election integrity.
    • Now, come on. No one *really* believes that the Federal reserve’s historic ½ point rate cut coincidentally happened just as early voting is starting. No one is that naïve … right?
    • In a 1-2 punch against Hezbollah, Israel apparently first made all of their pagers explode, and then their walkie-talkies. It couldn’t have happened to a nicer group of terrorists!
    • Kamala Harris can now add Vladimir Putin to the list of people who have endorsed her for President. C’mon, Putin – you’re making it a bit TOO easy!
    • Scientists have managed to use a common food dye to make see-through mice. While this is fascinating scientific research, I think I for myself, I’d rather have an x-ray.
    • Dr. Danielle Lord is an expert in leadership theory. She sat down with me this week to discuss the differences between management and leadership, the value of authentic relationships in the workplace, and her new book “Engaging your employees.”
    • We must act now to reform education in this country – get rid of woke classrooms and communist teachers, pay quality teachers better, and focus on preparing students to enter the world they actually live in.
    • Transgender swimmer Lia Thomas lost her appeal against the stricter guidelines defining gender in elite swimming as competed to other competitive sports.
    • A court decision on coalition voting districts in Galveston, Texas has the potential to dramatically shift political control of Congress.
    • Dr. Mark Chavez, one of the two doctors charged in Matthew Perry’s death, has pled guilty and will testify in the upcoming trials of the other doctor and the “Ketamine Queen.”
    • My guest this week is Ken Peterson of Churchill & Harmon, who sat down with me for a chat about why cybersecurity risks need attention, the biggest threats we’ll see in the late 2020s, and how you might work cyber risk management into your career path.
    • Katie Couric earned a failing grade from Saving America when she ignorantly reduced Trump voters to a laundry list of negative characteristics.
    • This claim that conservative governments result in higher crime rates is clearly a leftist spin on the facts. The data shows blue counties are increasing the crime rates. Don’t let them manipulate you!

  • Week In Review: America is in more danger of terrorist threats than on 9/11
    Sep 21 2024
    • 23 years later, America is in more danger of terrorist threats than on 9/11. Biden and Harris are terribly concerned with attending ceremonies to pander for votes. But what have they actually done about the threats?
    • The debate was honestly not that exciting. Both candidates lied, Harris continued her leftist lunacy, and Trump accused illegal immigrants of eating cats. Just another day in America politics.
    • Between record-high home down payments being required and the value of office space plummeting, this is a truly terrible time for sticky inflation – but that’s happening now too.
    • Kamala Harris wants to raise the corporate tax rate to 28%, but this will ultimately hurt the same people she claims she wants to help.
    • 300,000. That’s the most common estimate I’ve seen of how many undocumented migrant kids have gone missing on Biden and Harris’ watch. Where are these kids? What’s happening to them?
    • Biden and Harris are exploiting schedule A hiring rules, which are meant to promote employment of people with severe disabilities, to hire hundreds of lawyers and judges to “Trump-proof” the justice department in the likely event of their loss this November.
    • I support legal immigration and reform of the system to provide easier paths to citizenship. Biden’s “parole in place” program is none of that; it’s just another scam perpetuated on the American people, aimed at once again circumventing our laws for his political gain.
    • In another Biden-Harris border failure, the program that let U.S. organizations sponsor paroled illegal immigrants is so rife with fraud it actually had to be paused.
    • The Afghanistan withdrawal report has been released, and it’s not great. Senator Scott summarized it for Newsmax, and highlights include Biden and Harris ignoring the military’s advice for optics and bringing home and extra 70K potentially unvetted people while abandoning American citizens and allies.
    • Influential DEI author Robin DiAngelo has been accused of plagiarizing from minority scholars on her doctoral thesis.
    • This week I’m joined by bail bondsman Ken Good, who chatted with me about the reality of Hollywood bail bondsman stereotypes, bail reform and “no cash bail,” and his podcast The Bail Post.
    • Watching Congress fight over the national budget is like watching them rearrange deck chairs on the Titanic. Neither political party has the stones to take the drastic action we need to fix the debt crisis.
    • Bernie Sanders earns an F-grade from Saving America this week, not just for being a pretend socialist, but for his inflammatory attack accusing Israel of war crimes against war criminals.
    • The legal tug-of-war between Biden and the states over student loan forgiveness continues as all remaining parts of the SAVE debt relief program have been put on hiatus by an appeals court.
    • SCOTUS’ decision in the Fischer case, which could impact future court cases for the January 6th defendants and former President Trump, was based on the argument that the obstruction law was intended to prevent document destruction like in the Enron case.
    • Sameer Somal is a fascinating entrepreneur and a leader in the financial and digital marketing industries. He sat down with me to talk about what it means to be a CFA Charterholder, as well as his companies Blue Ocean Global Technology and Girl Power Talk.

  • Week in Review with Guests: Dr. Matthew Garrett, John R. Miles
    Sep 14 2024

    Week in Review:

    • The Hamas terrorists have brutally slaughtered 6 more of the hostages they abducted from Israel on October 7, including American Hersh Goldberg-Polin. My heart breaks for the families of these and all of Hamas’ victims.
    • In her softball CNN interview with no tough questions and while being chaperoned by Tim Walz, Harris admitted that despite her flip-flopping, she’s as liberal as ever. No big surprise there.
    • The China/Philippines conflict is the closest we’ve been to a world war since the Cuban Missile Crisis. And where are our leaders? Harris is too busy campaigning, and Biden too busy sleeping on the beach.
    • The invasion by illegals in our country has become so bad that Venezuelan gangs have taken over three apartment complexes in Colorado, according to the mayor of Aurora. This should never, ever be allowed to happen in the United States.
    • Nearly half the states have sued the EPA over its extremely controversial new methane gas rules, criticizing the new technology that would be used to monitor emissions as well as the short timeframe and projected high costs for consumers.
    • Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is investigating whether nonprofit organizations are registering non-citizens to vote at the DMV.
    • Columbia’s president resigned in mid-August, suspiciously just before a major report was released that detailed antisemitic harassment of Jewish students at the university during the recent wave of pro- Palestine protests.
    • Donald Trump has promised to end the Biden/ Harris administration’s moratorium on the death penalty on day 1 in office. We need this deterrent to fight the recent wave of crime and increase in murders of police officers.
    • New research suggests that the famous “altar stone” at Stonehenge actually came 600 miles by sea from northern Scotland, rather than 150 miles overland from Wales.
    • Dr. Matthew Garrett was a tenured, well-respected, award-winning professor of history– until he found himself fighting the system to protect his California college from radically racist policies.
    • The murder of Harris Co. deputy Maher Husseini caught national attention when his assailant led police on a chase across several Texas counties and into Galveston Bay.
    • You want to honor our fallen soldiers? Push your congressmen to take action to deter terrorist attacks, like the recent Iranian-backed drone attack in Jordan.
    • The NLRB recently did away with secret ballot elections – a significant control to prevent union organizers from breaking the law. The NLRB is failing America.
    • John Miles, the leading authority on intentional behavior change, dropped in to talk with me about the behavioral and mindset shifts people need to move from a life of quiet desperation to wherever they actually want to be.
    • Rudy Giuliani did ask for his bankruptcy case to be dismissed, and the court did grant that request, but it’s not exactly the legal win it sounds like on the surface.

  • Week in Review with Guests: Author Joseph M. Lenard and Doug Lawrence
    Sep 7 2024
    • Week in Review
    • It’s been the oddest political campaign in at least a century, and it just keeps getting odder. I for one will be very interested in seeing the outcome of the upcoming Trump/ Harris debate!
    • The new school year means, among other things, another wave of antisemitic anti-Israel protests and demonstrations on college campuses. Biden should immediately withdraw all federal funds allocated to any university that allows these racist displays!
    • America’s policy of pandering to Iran has been a complete disaster, and has brought the Middle East to the brink of war. Only this time, Iran will have nukes. We need strong leadership to keep Iran in line, and Biden & Harris have proven they aren’t up to the job.
    • Incidents of cyber-attacks on the U.S. power grid have been increasing, and experts are concerned that there may be concerted attacks intended to interfere with the presidential election later this year.
    • Although China and the Philippines have recently been in talks to reduce tension in the South China Sea, China has lashed out again, this time ramming a Philippines Coast Guard ship.
    • An appeals court has granted an emergency injunction, blocking Biden’s ridiculous Title IX expansion from taking effect in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
    • The 2nd largest diamond ever – and the largest in over a century – has just been unearthed by Canadian mining company Lucara in Botswana.
    • Author Joseph M. Lenard dropped by this week for a nice, upbeat chat about terrorism and religion, and what it means to be a ChristiTutionalist.
    • Between lying to the public about the border crisis and lying to Biden about their hours worked, Biden’s cabinet secretaries seem to have pretty contentious relationships with the truth for public officials.
    • When Elon Musk interviewed Donald Trump, they got a little carried away talking about firing union strikers. That doesn’t give the United Automobile Workers actual grounds for a lawsuit – but no one seems to have told them that!
    • My guest, Doug Lawrence, is an expert on mentorship. Get an overview of mentoring, and learn how it can help even high-level executives and people experiencing a mental health crisis, this week on Saving America!
    • Live Nation- Ticketmaster has been sued under the Sherman Antitrust Act, and stands accused of holding a near- monopoly in the live concert space. What does that mean – and what does it mean for seeing live shows?
