Episode Summary:
In this week’s episode of “Pumpkins and Politics” with Chad George, Chad will be kicking off this “spooky” month with a countdown of the Top 5 of the World’s Most Infamous People. This week, we will continue with number three, the duo: Bonnie and Clyde.
We are continuing our weekly series of the “50 Most Influential people” segment, where Chad chooses one influential person from each state to talk about. This week, our influential person is from the State of Nevada. Eva Adams was the Director of the United States Mint from 1961-1969.
In this episode, we touch on some key points:
1. Bonnie Elizabeth Parker and Clyde Chestnut Barrow were an American criminal couple who traveled the Central United States with their gang during the Great Depresssion.
2. They were known for their bank robberies, although they preferred to rob small stores or rural gas stations.
3. They are believed to have murdered at least nine police officers and four civilians.
4. Barrow and Parker were killed on May 23, 1934, on a rural road in Bienville Parish, Louisiana.
5. Eva Adams was born in Wonder, Nevada. She was the director of the United States Mint under the presidencies of John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson and the first 7 months of Richard M. Nixon.
