  • Ready for emergencies? Starlink and Limitless Innovations
    Feb 21 2025

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear. I’m Fred Fishkin. Ready for emergencies? We are big fans of the Starlink satellite connectivity now in Beta for many T-Mobile subscribers and is being offered to some Verizon and AT&T customers too. Much more to come there. Meanwhile, carrying around a portable jump starter is a pretty smart thing to do any time of year, but especially during the winter. Here’s one that really belongs in your car. Limitless Innovations has a great 10 in 1 portable vehicle jump starter that also serves as a flashlight and power bank. It has plenty of juice to get your vehicle started and keep your phone charged too in a pinch. The flashlight is handy too…with both high and low beams….a strobe mode and an emergency flashing red light too. The price…about 99 dollars at LimitlessInnovations.com.

  • Nomad's Universal Apple Watch Cable does it all
    Feb 19 2025

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear. I’m Fred Fishkin. Where were you the last time time was running out on your Apple Watch? What we mean of course is the battery and the need to re-charge. The folks at Nomad Goods have come up with a great new Universal Apple Watch Cable….that will let you re-charge from an iPhone or iPad….or any USB C power source. It is a lifesaver for travelers or for everyday. Nomad Goods CEO Noah Dentzel…

“It’s the one cable that charges everything in the Apple ecosystem. It’s the one and done. It’s the only cable you need to charge all your stuff. You don’t have to worry about another cable, another this, another that. You don’t need two ports. You know, when you’re in a car and you have perhaps only one USB C there, you don’t want to have the Apple Watch cable there dangling around and then you’ve got to remove that and put your other cable in. Everything’s charged all from that one cable.”

It can even charge a Macbook. At a hundred dollars…the Universal Cable for Apple Watch is pretty expensive….but the convenience and quality make it a worthwhile investment for many.

Co-founder Neal Shah says using a secure server based version of DeepSeek AI, the paperwork for appealing denied claims can be done in just a few minutes at a cost of about two cents….far cheaper than the 40 dollars or more it costs typically. About the need, Shah says..

“Many insurers, due to a combination of less regulation, a significant amount of mergers and consolidation of power, have now started just rapidly denying claims, almost algorithmically.”

For now…the service is free at CounterforceHealth.org. Shah, by the way also heads CareYaya, a groundbreaking services, also utilizing AI to provide in home care that is often better and cheaper.
