  • What is the Body of Gold? Here's what to expect!
    Feb 24 2022

I often get asked the question - how did I transition from the newsroom to becoming a nutritionist?

I discovered my purpose while working as a digital producer for KIRO7 News in Seattle, Washington.

Like many of us - I thought I had my dream job after graduating from college, but things took a quick turn after going through depression, weight loss challenges and body image issues. I started sharing my journey online (primarily via Facebook) and women began to resonate with my story and message. I started competing in 5K/10K races, studying nutrition based on my body type and began to love my body throughout the process.

I then decided to help other women love themselves unconditionally and cultivate a better relationship with food. I started the Thick, Bold, and Healthy community which is now my nutrition practice and the Body of Gold platform. I hope you enjoy this episode to better understand me, this platform and how it will benefit you. With love!

  • Stop Hiding Behind Your Wins! Face Your PAIN with Jessica Hurley
    Feb 16 2022

I think at some point or another, we all become co-dependent on the person we love the most. We hold them to a certain pedestal while asking them to fulfill our happiness and certain voids. When honestly those voids - never go away until you learn how to face your own pain. It's important that we learn how to love ourselves and bodies unconditionally and stop looking for others to fulfill our desires.

In this episode of the Body of Gold podcast, Jessica Hurley - known to many as the Podcast and Vulnerability Queen takes us through her healing journey after a 7-year breakup. She explains how necessary it is to do the work on YOU daily so that YOU can truly be HAPPY with YOU.

But the question still stands - can someone's healing journey become never-ending? or does it just get easier overtime?
