On today's episode, I am sharing my incredible conversation with a lady who has so much knowledge and passion for the equine sports medicine and rehabilitation field. Dr Sherry Johnson is one of the partners with the Equine Sports Medicine Team located in Whitesboro, TX and Scottsdale, AZ!

There have been so many amazing strides made over the past several years to improve how we look at our practices in this field and how we treat our equine athletic partners. From improved technology to putting the horse first in order to care for every horse in a way that best fits each horse's individual needs and behavior. I had so much fun talking with Sherry and I learned so much on an area of the industry that I actually have been very interested in for a long time. We discuss so many topics, from creating a positive work culture with the team where everyone works together to put the horse first to how sports medicine and rehab has evolved in college programs in the horse industry.

Merry Christmas Eve Eve!

Boy do I have a great early Christmas present for y'all! On today's episode I am talking with the first woman to ever win the NRHA Open Level 4 Futurity in the 58 years it has been running! Kaci O'Rourke is a professional horse trainer who trains reining horses out of Aubrey, TX with her husband Jack Daniels.

I feel so thrilled and blessed to be sharing this wonderful conversation with all of you today. Kaci is such a strong, inspiring person, but is also very humble in who she is. She believes that opportunities have to be earned by determination and hard work and that no one is going to give it to you! Which we can both agree on 100%!

Season 2 of the podcast is finally here!

We all know as riders that it's important to take care of our four legged athletes to make sure they healthy, fit, and ready for competition, but how are you doing with thinking about your own physical and mental fitness personally? Finally the world is starting to see WE ARE A SPORT and we don't just sit there! I can tell you if I just sat in the saddle on my horse during a sorting run I would quickly come off especially with how fast she turns to go after a cow sometimes!

I am so excited about today's episode because I know the value it will bring to not only you my audience, but to the equine industry as a whole! Dr. Alyssa Logan is an assistant professor at Middle Tennessee State University and their horse judging coach. I am so thrilled to share with you a very special episode! if you follow the show on social media (like you should!) You know that a few weeks ago I was honored to be invited onto the Fit for Halter podcast by the host Amy Zabel! Where it was my turn in the hot seat!

Amy and I talked about why I started the podcast, what I have learned from my amazing guests so far, what my goals are for the show, and more! We also discuss some important equine industry topics that since Amy was kind enough to share the recording with me I thought I would share it with you.
