Today, we interview Natalie Colburn, author of, "A Call For Blood." I had so much fun getting to speak with Natalie, and we hope you enjoy learning more about her and her work!

A CALL FOR BLOOD:

In a world where everyone has a gift, the King of Myria rules with death and destruction.

Keith and Camille Atwood have seen their fair share of cruelty living in the Gulf, one of the poorest sectors in Myria. Every year, on Combatant Day, they are forced to observe gruesome fights to the death between criminals and the King's loyal champions.

But when their father attempts to assassinate the King, the pair of siblings are thrown into the Crowning Games, a series of spectacles designed to kill off the participants for the crowd's entertainment until there's one winner. Keith and Camille's arrival garner the attention of both fellow competitors and inhabitants of the castle, including Princess Amaia.

Now, they must decide if they want to play along or fight for what they believe in, even if it means their deaths. They must ask themselves the same questions.

Natalie is a young, Christian author, and she is certainly leaving her mark in the self-publishing world! She has a passion for writing and reading, crediting Harry Potter and Percy Jackson for her love of all things bookish! She has published two books so far, "Me Through Us," a poetry collection, and "A Call For Blood," book 1 in a thrilling dystopian fantasy series, "The Crowning Games." Lisa Dunnam is not a renowned author. She’s someone who lives a quiet life in a rural region of West Texas. In her only book she will probably ever write, she takes the reader on a walk down memory lane to illustrate several decades of her life where she was trapped in the sins that many women struggle with - abuse, abortion, addiction and adultery. Her low self-esteem and lost sense of identity were rooted in lies she believed about herself that began in her childhood. These lies were from a source much deeper than she realized.
