  • Toxicity at Work
    Aug 12 2022

Aristotle wrote, “Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work.” But, if a person starts to fail at their job, and feels unhappy, how can they know if it’s them – or the workplace itself? Has the air in your office ever felt heavy? Is there tension? Are deadlines getting closer to each other, and people seem stressed out? Learn to identify the signs of a toxic workplace, explore factors that lead to it, and offer advice on how to combat such an environment. Sometimes, despite their best intentions, toxic workplaces evolve because employees get unhappier and unhappier – creating a festering well of discontent. When this happens it’s often because employees originally believed in the company’s mission but, somewhere along the line, they fell out of alignment. A toxic work environment may also arise if a high-ranking employee who doesn’t care how people feel rises to the top. Their lack of awareness of the importance of motivation theory and its impact causes them to prioritize results over all else. Human relationships and employee relationships start to suffer. Join us and tune into this thought guide to unwind and unlearn.

  • Abandonment
    Aug 5 2022

Abandonment issues arise when an individual has a strong fear of losing loved ones. A fear of abandonment is a form of anxiety. It often begins in childhood when a child experiences a traumatic loss. Children who go through this experience may then begin to fear losing other important people in their lives. Some individuals continue to fear abandonment as they grow older. Although it is less common, abandonment issues can also sometimes begin in adulthood. Without treatment, abandonment issues in both adults and children can make it more challenging for the person to form healthy and secure relationships with others and to live a fulfilling life. It is important to find a steady relationship with yourself before you seek love and stability and acceptance from another person or your partner. The grounds of a good loving relationship is a two-way street and requires healthy minds to initiate the same and keep at it. Tune into this thought guide to know the how’s and why’s of coping with Abandonment Issues.

  • Fear of Judgement
    Jul 29 2022

Tune into this thought guide if you have been seeking approval of others, have always been self-critical in the form of hundreds of likes on Instagram, help and support from friends, or a simple pat on the back from your parents, seeking validation from others for a quick boost of confidence is a natural tendency. People want to know that they’re smart and cool and on the right track in life, and these external things (read: likes, pats on the back, etc.) are definitely helpful. It’s totally fine to look for others’ approval on occasion. But there comes a point where it becomes a habit — which is when it’s important to take a step back and recognize that you do not need someone else’s approval to feel good about yourself. Essentially, confidence and validation go hand in hand however people’s perceptions aren’t always based on reality or the facts, their judgements might be biased. There is a positive, though — you can totally turn this around and learn how to build better trust and confidence in yourself. Learn how to achieve this with our Thought guide.
