In this episode I am joined by my dear sister Kjelti Katherine. Kjelti is a mother to two beautiful earth rooted starlings - her son Era and daughter Aven. Her journey through Matrescence in the last five years has drawn her to the deep well of her own becoming as Mother. She sees the mother-child relationship as fertile & generative ground for tending to the new earth we long for in our hearts. She also handcrafts an array of beautiful herbal medicines for women and mothers on the childbearing continuum with a special focus on postpartum repletion remedies.

We hear the medicine, the fire walk, and the ecstasy of her two postpartum experiences. We discuss staying present with the altered state of postpartum as the foundation to our motherhood and how to weave the thread of that magic into our daily lives. Kjelti’s story touches into the grief and medicine of holding boundaries in our communities, the ceremony of being witnessed in the 5th trimester, and planning for the physical pieces of our postpartum nourishment as a container for the energetic alchemy to innately unfold.
