In 2003, Cindy Monroe founded Thirty-One Gifts in the basement of her home in Chattanooga, TN, with one goal: to help women by giving them the opportunity to run their own successful businesses. Today, she continues to lead Thirty-One Gifts and build relationships with her consultants all over the country.

Caesar lives on a farm with his owner, Lori. Caesar is a retriever who loves playing in the field of bluebells while protecting the farm. Lori puts two gnomes in her garden for decoration. Caesar thinks something is not right about them. The next May when Lori and Caesar visit their bluebell field, it is destroyed. The fairies are worried. Their queen is missing! Caesar knows the gnomes are involved. Can Caesar find the Queen and fix the mess?

The school careers of two teenage girls who lived across town from each other - one black, one white - were altered by a court-ordered desegregation plan for Durham, NC in 1970. LaHoma and Cindy both found themselves at the same high school from different sides of a court-ordered racial “balancing act”. This plan thrust each of them involuntarily out of their comfort zones and into new racial landscapes. Their experiences, recounted in alternating first-person narratives, are the embodiment of desegregation policies, situated in a particular time and place.

PTSD: No Apologies is a powerful anthology of personal stories and poems. Many of the stories were by those whose lives have been affected by PTSD. Collectively, they demonstrate what happens when an individual has been exposed to horrifying situations that stick in the memory...refuse to leave...and are constantly relived, again and again.

Rhymes Through Time is the third poetry book by Cindy. It offers a sample of her first two books as well as a future book. You will not find sex, violence, blood, or gore nor will you find vampires, zombies, or ghosts. You will find poems about fleeting and elusive moments captured in rhyme through the sands of time.
