In Daleks: The Chase the First Doctor and his friends must flee from the path of a Dalek execution squad. Many an incredible story may have been told about young courageous men and women cycling the globe in search of adventure, covering vast distances at speed each day with not a care in the world. As they travel through space and time, they try to shake off their pursuers by making a series of random landings - but the Daleks don't give up easily. This is a chase to the death... Maureen O'Brien, who played Vicki in the original Doctor Who TV serial, reads John Peel's complete and unabridged novelisation, first published by Target Books in 1989.

John Peel Remembered includes the Radio 4 Book of the Week serialisation of Margrave of the Marshes, Peel's part-written autobiography completed by his wife, Sheila Ravenscroft. Also included is a Home Truths Special programme to mark the anniversary of John Peel's death, in which Tom Robinson visits Peel Acres to meet John's wife and their four children.

A visit to the Grand Canyon begins with disaster for the Doctor and Peri, when the TARDIS plunges into a ravine. The travellers' only hope is to descend to the valley on foot and then track the course of the Colorado river. Their perilous journey is fraught with danger, even before they encounter a band of 19th Century explorers led by Major John Wesley Powell. Joining the watery expedition, the Doctor and Peri begin to despair of ever seeing the TARDIS again. As food supplies dwindle, so do the group's options. This is a journey which some of them will never return.
