Sherlock Holmes suggests a vacation to Watson. They travel to Switzerland to relax and share the holidays with friends. Watson suddenly disappears on Christmas Eve. Will Mark Twain be able to find his friend, or is he one of the many that Mister Bleak will hang from the Bleak Tree?

A madman rises to power in the West and is determined to derail the United States government and install himself and his cronies into power. He is willing to go to any length to win power, even if it means summoning the powers of darkness to help him. Holmes and Watson find out about the plot when a great Western author, Mark Twain, seeks their help in finding his lost friend.

The Jade Princess is visiting London and is shadowed by constables to insure her safety. A constable is found mysteriously slain by the branch of a Kodama tree. Holmes is sent to investigate the death because it could trigger an international incident if anything happened to the Princess.
