The Haunting of Hadlow House

All Richard Hadlow wants is a happy family and a peaceful home. Having built the perfect house deep in the Kent countryside, now all he needs is a wife. He's about to discover, however, that even the most perfectly-laid plans can go horribly and tragically wrong. The year is 1689 and England is in the grip of turmoil. A pretender is trying to take the throne, but Richard has no interest in the affairs of his country. He only cares about finding the perfect wife and giving her a perfect life. But someone–or something–at his newly-built house has other ideas.

Hadlow House has stood empty ever since the tragic events that claimed the lives of its first owner. Now, however, a new family is moving to the house, bringing fresh life to halls and rooms that have for so long remained dormant. But do echoes of the past remain, lurking in the shadows? At first Hadlow House seems idyllic, but cracks soon start to show. Old voices are heard, but are they offering threats or a warning? By the time the truth becomes clear, Hadlow House might well be ready to claim yet another victim.

Almost one hundred years after tragedy first struck Hadlow House, ghosts still linger in the shadows and threaten to drive the living out of their minds. And some of the house's occupants have never known any other way of life. Catherine desperately wants to escape from the house's oppressive atmosphere.
