Larry Sasso has three passions in life: teaching, working with young adults, and helping clients become financially independent. He has now turned his passions into Get in the Game, a guide to personal finances and life for young adults. Using his unique perspective as a softball and baseball coach, Larry teaches young adults how to get on the path to financial independence. The more assets you accumulate the more secure your life will become. Remember assets minus liabilities equal net worth. The higher your net worth the stronger your life against the headwinds in life, - inflation, recession, pandemics, depressions, and any economic devastation.

This is a guide to create a "positively selfish" position on building a financial foundation on which you can stand. It may take a bit of sacrifice in learning, but as with any goal, you start off slow, address habits, and then, over time, you have a financial foundation and have developed strategies to grow your income. It will allow you to get through days, weeks, and years of life events and unforeseen circumstances during your lifetime, whether positive or negative. The goal is to create your best lifetime for you, your family, and generations to come. 

We face risks without realising their enormity—death, accidents, ill-health, burglaries, earthquakes, riots, fires and storms. Additional risks, such as the Coronavirus, come about with alarming irregularity to disrupt our lives. Look around and you will see many examples of the deep impact these risks can have. A wage earner's premature death can put paid to their children's education; Chemotherapy can eat up your life's savings; an illness when overseas can leave you confused about how to get treated; heavy rains can flood your home; and an accident can cause litigation.
