Originally published as part of a contest between Mary Shelley, her husband Percy Bysshe Shelley, and Lord Byron, Frankenstein has since captured countless imaginations. When Dr. Victor Frankenstein learns the secret of imparting life to inanimate matter, he is eager to test his theories. The bones he collects to construct his human subject become a gruesome, frightening creature, endowed with supernatural size and strength. Lonely and miserable, the created comes to hate his creator. Eager science student Victor Frankenstein uses body parts of the dead to bring a creature to life. Although initially excited that his experiment is a success, Frankenstein becomes horrified at the grotesque being that stands before him and flees. Angered by the rejection, the monster retaliates by taking the lives of those dearest to Frankenstein. The decision to play God torments both Frankenstein and the monster he created until the end of their days.

Few creatures of horror have seized imaginations and held them for so long as the anguished monster of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. The story of Victor Frankenstein's terrible creation and the havoc it caused has enthralled generations of readers and listeners and inspired countless writers of horror and suspense.

Though they may all be siblings beneath the skin (and graveyard as well!), these vampiric sisters are as different as any eight women could be. One, "The Good Lady Ducayne", prefers to acquire her nourishment through more scientific means. Another doesn't even drink blood at all; her approach to draining the life from her victims is somewhat more direct (but we think you'll agree that "Luella Miller" deserves the appellation "vampire" every bit as much as any of the rest).

Lord Byron and Percy Shelley challenged their friends to see who could come up with the most horrifying story imaginable. Mary Shelley did, terrifying them all with her nightmare-inspired tale. It is followed by "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" by Coleridge which was an early haunting influence on the young Mary Shelley.

The house called Sunset has been Marcia's summer home for her entire life. Both of her parents died there, and she and her brother spent their youth exploring its rambling hallways and seaside grounds. They love the old house, but Marcia's sister-in-law has never taken to it. Juliette loathes the sea, and soon comes to loathe her husband as well. And when Alora reveals her sinister plan - to build an unconquerable army of Blurred Ones by placing them inside the perfect hosts - the girls and their friends must fight to protect not just Bloodcreek, but all of the world.

Eva and Frost are pretty stoked about their blooming hunting skills. But when they finally meet Raylan’s sister, Tess, after a witch-doctor hunt in New Orleans, the group dynamic gets rather awkward. Tess wants to kill Knox straight up dead. As in, drag him up from the bottom of the old mine shaft and use Tess’ favorite snake from the Louisiana bayou to finish the job. Eva loves the idea of bonding with Tess and being extra sure that Knox will never come back to harm them. But Maggie ain’t thrilled at the idea, and Frost is a little distracted by her new cowboy boy-toy.
