Als Friedrich Nietzsche im Jahre 1878 sein aphoristisches Werk "Menschliches, Allzumenschliches" herausbrachte, war schlagartig klar, dass hier einer der ganz Großen der Philosophie die Weltbühne betreten hatte. Die hier vorliegende Sammlung vereint die Teile "Von den ersten und letzten Dingen", "Zur Geschichte der moralischen Empfindungen", "Aus der Seele der Künstler und Schriftsteller", "Der Mensch im Verkehr", "Der Mensch mit sich allein", sowie eine Auswahl aus seinem 1887 veröffentlichten Werk "Die fröhliche Wissenschaft".

Three Dialogues Between Hylas and Philonous, or simply Three Dialogues, is a 1713 book on metaphysics and idealism by George Berkeley. The book was written as a response to the criticism of his work A Treatise Concerning the Principles of Human Knowledge. Berkeley faced opposition from many philosophers who held to the Platonic view. He argues that sensible qualities like color, sound, temperature and even shape are not inherent in matter, but are ascribed and understood by the mind.

The final volume of this collection features the work of 20 poets who were active just after the First World War.
