In 2022 I drew one of Colorado’s coveted Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep hunting permits. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. A lifelong Alaskan, Steve Kahn moved at the age of nine from the “metropolis” of Anchorage to the foothills of the Chugach Mountains.
