It wasn’t until early 2018 that I was forced to realize that something was seriously wrong in my life. At 38 years old, my relationship and marriage of over 10 years fell apart. I was jobless and living on a friend’s couch. I felt numb and completely lost in the world without a compass. As the months passed and I got back on my feet, I began to truly understand what had happened to me in that time.
