Stepping stone to a love of high fantasy
This is a sweet little story about a changling Sidhe who goes on an adventure to discover herself, in a sense. The Sidhe aren't the faeries that I'm used to, these a blue (in colour), unhappy lot and Aethlywn finds out that they didn't think she fit in with them, so left her as a changling. As she grew up, she changed and when she found out that she was a changling, she wanted to find her real family. She then goes on adventures, helping Merlin and after 1500 years, she went to the High Wizard to ask if he could change her into a more faerie like Sidhe. The Wizard gives her a job, saying that at the end of the year and a day, he'd grant her dream to her. You'll have to listen to find out what happens.
This is a children's book, or young adult's. Gives you some hints about Merlin and King Arthur, as well as mentions several other well known elves and faeries in this. Could be a nice stepping stone into a wide world of fantasy for a young reader.
Megan does a very nice job of narration, her voice well suited for this tale.
