Michael is one smooth author
He just never disappoints. His stories always leave you wanting more. He is excellent at building characters that you become invested in. He adds all the right touches and moves at a satisfying pace. He is an author you can always count on to give you a great read. Love the narrator as well and know him from many books.

First time with this Author
Very good story. A little slow at times. Would have liked more in depth to the individual characters though. Narrator was excellent. Am looking forward to listening to book 2.

Amazing storytelling in every way!
The story is excellent, with heroes I grew to love and villains I really despised. I liked this story more than Nolyn (which I read before), and I will definitely continue the series. I really loved the performance. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is a fan of traditional fantasy. It is a great setup for an epic saga to come.

Amazing
I normally have a hard time getting into books especially, when they are longer, this book was great. As you get more into the book, all the different characters start to build up and you can really get a sense of the world that they live in. By the end of the book you become very invested.
