Story
Washington’s End begins where most biographies of George Washington leave off, with the first president exiting office after eight years and entering what would become the most bewildering stage of his life. Embittered by partisan criticism and eager to return to his farm, Washington assumed a role for which there was no precedent at a time when the kings across the ocean yielded their crowns only upon losing their heads. In a different sense, Washington would lose his head, too.

Story
A mythic figure in fighting and a legendary member of the “first family of martial arts,” Rickson Gracie is considered the godfather of what we recognize today as Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Although Rickson’s three decades of total dominance in Jiu Jitsu is astounding, even more astounding is the serenity and spiritual depth of his approach to combat. For Rickson, Jiu Jitsu is a metaphor for life. Some consider Jiu Jitsu a martial art, others consider it a sport, but to Gracie, it is a philosophical system he uses to face and evaluate life’s challenges and maintain happiness and mental balance.

Easily captivated by the great content!
Initially concerned by the audio sample which sounded cavernous and the critics given by some about the performance, I decided to go for it and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and appropriate performance of the narrator James Newcomb, with such a difficult challenge of naming biology, chemistry , scientific terms included in this great document that Mr. Greenfield as created.
Love it the way the voice is steady like an serious instructor.. not an entertainer .. I'm looking for knowledge and improvement on the concept proposed by Ben Greenfield. Going through the document is easy since it's not necessary linear and you may navigate from one chapter to the other at your convenience on so many subjects.
Great work guys! Enjoy this beauty , live long and prosper!
P.S. I went through Beyond Training and now this one is even better , a winner all the way!

Great content, terrible narration
Ben should sue James for all of the five star reviews that he will have lost solely on account to the terrible narration performance. I've never heard Ben mispronounce a single word in any of the many his podcasts that I've listened to. James mispronounces so many words that eventually you're start trying to count them all although you'll finally have to give up on that effort. He pauses often on words that are not particularly the difficult, and even speaks to himself at times, coughs, and does other things that you won't find on any other Audible book that you listen to.
That said, this book is massive and is a great source of health, fitness and longevity information that is equally suitable for lay audiences and for those already well immersed in these fields. Great job Ben, but do the narration yourself next time around.

Great Content - Narration Needs Improvement
I was so excited for this book because I love Ben Greenfield. My first disappointment was that Ben wasn’t narrating, ok no problem. By the end of the first chapter I was so annoyed because the person doing the narration clearly knows nothing about advanced health because he can’t pronounce half of the words in the book. The mispronunciations of norepinephrine, Sam-E, Synaptic cleft and many other words was so distracting that I was having trouble focusing on the content which is great, but I recommend buying the hard copy and skipping the audible.

An absolute behemoth of a book!
I keep coming back to Ben Greenfield's work because he doesn't only tackle foods an exercise, but also other subjects that might go under the radar light dirty electricity and water as well as spirituality. after all, "I don't just want to be known for being a good exerciser"

So much bro science
I’d be highly skeptical if anyone is meant to use all the stuff suggested in this book. The number of paragraphs that lead with “some studies show” or “some research suggests” which automatically raises questions. There is so much content that no one could possibly know what is good or bad about what Ben is suggesting.

Snake oil trash
The use of pseudoscience, manipulation techniques, straw man’s argument and half truths is enough that I had to give up. It takes 5 minutes of google searches to know this man is a snake oil salesman.
