About this listen

Dandelion wishes. Grains of sand. Shooting stars. Butterfly kisses.

Murder and mothballs. Carnage and blood.

Black leather gloves and too many lilies.

Time can swallow her whole, and it’s almost up.

WELLS

She’s my mission. My prize. My obsession.

Ivy Kingston is the most wanted woman in the world for reasons she is completely oblivious to, reasons I intend to capitalize on.

She needs a husband to receive her inheritance, so I’m on the hunt for a wife. As long as it’s her.

I’m not who she thinks I am. But she has no idea who she really is either.

I’ll be her groom. Her keeper. Her lover. And quite possibly her demise.

IVY

People often underestimate me. They shouldn’t.

Gavin Wells is dreamy and delicious. Dark and mysterious. His world is exactly where I want to be.

But he’s got me in a choke hold of smoke and mirrors.

Someone should have warned him that burning ivy releases toxic spores.

Because I’m the spark who can reduce him to ashes.

Amazing, just Wow!

What a wild ride!
I loved every second of this book! It was incredible!
The story kept me guessing from start to finish, I could not get enough.
Top 5 of the year.
Loved the duet narration, although I did find some of female narrators inflections a little off but not enough to take me out of it.
Gavin was perfect. Narrator and character.
Cannot wait to start the second book!

Amazing!

This is my top read of 2024 so far! This book was so good! It had the perfect amount of spice and the storyline kept
my interest throughout the entire book. I loved the deep connection between all of the characters, especially Wells and Ivy! The narrators were perfectly casted. I can’t wait for the next book in the series by this author. Amazing listen!!!

So much potential but.....

If you like the sayings a butterfly's kiss, dandelion dreams or like grains of sand then do not listen to this book because you will definitely not after this book is done.
The story is all over the place and really hard to follow - there is no pattern to it. Just jumps back and forth randomly
It could have been 20 or 22 chapters and achieved the same result but instead it was 34 chapters and so over descriptive that it was aggravating especially when Ivy was talking.
This was my first time listening to the narrators. I loved Sean Masters but the female was just overly dramatic bordering on whiny most times.
The story is hard to follow when Ivy who is so cautious goes from business arrangement of a marriage to desperately in love in the blink of an eye. Given the length of the book the author could have played it out a little bit (like she did with everything else in the story) to make it a little more believable but that is the part she chose to rush
From chapter 21 on it is so slow and all Ivy. Aslo it is so very overdescriptive and long.
It was long just for the sake of being long. There is no advantage to being overdescriptive because you definitely loose people. Hopefully this author learns that as I did enjoy the premise of the story but it was just too long again for the sake of being long
