Publisher's Summary

Embark on a chilling journey inside one of the world’s darkest and most dangerous places: Evin, the notorious Tehran prison. Here, prisoners are routinely tortured, abused, and violated. Executions are frequent and sudden. But for two women imprisoned for their Christian faith - Maryam Rostampour and Marziyeh Amirizadeh - this hell on earth was a place of unlikely grace as they reflected God’s love and compassion to their fellow prisoners and guards. Against all odds, Evin would become the only church many of them had ever known.

In Captive in Iran, Maryam and Marziyeh recount their 259 days in Evin. It’s an amazing story of unyielding faith - when denying God would have meant freedom. Of incredible support from strangers around the world who fought for the women’s release. And of bringing God’s light into one of the world’s darkest places - giving hope to those who had lost everything, and showing love to those in despair.

simply remarkable

What these two incredible went through and their steadfastness in the face of tyranny is absolutly remarkable. in a sense it is a tale of Persia which has been under islamic subjugation for 1400 years. Bravo for spreading the true faith of the lord and it's a tale of encouraging other Persians to find the path to the truth and Jesus Christ . Amen

To many profanities and vulgarities.

We don't think the spirit of God leads people to have or share language the would defile the listeners.
we were trying to listen to this as a family. but weren't able to.

Very religious!

Even though I sympathize with the authors, that were captured and put in to prison for their religious beliefs unjustly but the book is all Christian based faith and Christian advertisement. Too much. From one dogmatism to another. Too heavy on Christian faith. Not for me. After an hour listening I couldn't take it, no difference than lessoning to memoirs of a fanatic Islamist, just the religion is changed!
