Awesome 😎
A fantastic story and sound production. Takes you for a ride and then rips out your heart and hands it back to you. Bravo!

Fun While Ludicrous
I am an unabashed fan of Kevin Smith. He wrote and directed comedy classics 'Clerks' and the 'Jay and Silent Bob' sagas (incredibly entertaining films). He wears an Edmonton Oilers jersey to Red Carpet events. His work on 'Comic Book Men' is brilliant at bringing lighthearted attention to geeks like me. It turns out he can also fashion an interesting plot surrounding a superhero. This Marvel tale that he penned veers into the surreal, however - it deals with Daredevil taking care of - potentially - the Messiah (or maybe the AntiChrist). Foggy cheats on his girlfriend and is charged with murder; Matt Murdoch quits his job; Matt's girlfriend gets AIDS; and The Black Widow babysits and changes diapers (you heard that right). I won't divulge spoilers - suffice it to say the attempt to make it all make sense falls short. Despite some truly well-crafted action scenes, the eyerolling was nonstop.
This full-cast performance lives up to the quality I have come to expect from Marvel/Graphic Audio, however. Sound effects, voice modulation, background noise, and spectacular editing accompany unparalleled voice-acting. This is cinema-quality fare.
I am usually easily able to suspend reservations and simply enjoy even the silliest story.. but I couldn't do that with 'Guardian Devil'. Despite fantastic production value, I can only rate this overly-complicated comic-hero audiobook 3 out of 10 stars. Keep Browsing - spend your Credit on something else.
