Entertaining. Makes me want to roll some dice

Publisher's Summary
Now the people know that the dragon minions of Takhisis, Queen of Dragons, have returned. The people of all nations prepare to fight to save their homes, their lives, and their freedom. But the races have long been divided by hatred and prejudice. Elven warriors and human knights fight among themselves. It seems the battle has been lost before it begins.
The companions are separated, torn apart by war. A full season will pass before they meet again - if they meet again. As the darkness deepens, a disgraced knight, a pampered elf maiden, and a rattle-brained kender stand alone in the pale winter sunlight.
Not much in the way of heroes.

Returning this one.
I truly love the Dragonlance books and own all of them in hard copy. This narration just sets my teeth on edge. I made it through the first book but when the reader starts mispronouncing important names that's a deal breaker. Emersion in the story is lost completely for me.

Epic Fantasy in every sense of the term!
A heart wrenching story full of highs and lows as the evil dragon armies continue to cause problems on Ansalon. Just as beautifully written as the first one in this trilogy and the story only continues to expand in scope with a large cast of characters that all manage to capture my heart and attention.
Paul Boehmer does an exceptional job of narration, lending a wonderful sense of gravitas to the tale with his clear and pleasant voice. He takes the time to give each character a slightly different intonation to their voice which is a very nice touch. There are a few spots here and there where he does emphasize a strange part of the sentence at the wrong time, but it's not as noticeable as the first book in the series that he did and he has very much improved his performance here.

A childhood favourite.
I loved this series as a teenager, and gave it a listen as an adult, and I still love it. It’s just a good fun series when you’re nostalgic for swords & sorcery or any D&D. If you like these books try the Legends trilogy about Raistlin & Caramon.
