About this listen

In the first book of this thrilling isekai adventure series, a human becomes a dungeon—and soon that dungeon becomes something much, much more . . .

The usual result of a human taking a runaway semitruck head-on is a very sudden, very fast track to the pearly gates. But for one newly noncorporeal man, there's another option: become a dungeon. Feeling sorry for the desperate angel assigned to him, the man relents. Heck, if it doesn't work out, he can always chat with Saint Peter about it later.

Next thing you know, he's a dungeon. Admittedly, a small run-down, somewhat unimpressive dungeon (more of a house, actually), but you gotta start somewhere, right? Slowly but surely, the new dungeon learns the ropes, building himself up with scions of every creepy-crawly sort he can find; gathering mana; dealing with invaders, delvers, noobs, and annoying guild reps; and gradually becoming a local legend known as Thedeim (get it?).

The more Thedeim's power and reputation grows, the more he becomes a part of his new world—and the more its various denizens become a part of his. But how is a proper dungeon supposed to instill spine-shattering, mind-melting terror in a pack of questing adventurers when it's so much more fun to play along with them?

The first volume of the hit LitRPG fantasy series—with more than seven million views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

Hit by a truck? No problem, take a second chance.

I love the idea that after an accidental death our MMC has the option of reincarnation, with a twist.
Turned into a dungeon, our MMC uses his knowledge and human tendencies toward curiosity and exploration to start understanding, shaping, and molding the new world around him.

The main confrontation is with NeverRest, a nearby dungeon specializing in the Undead

Screw Scott

I loved this book and voice actor but the purpose of this review is only to nitpick Scott’s review. He said “ it was a bit slow, and as soon as religion was brought into it I was out “ this comment was dumb. The story is amazing and good for a shot attention span, it pushes forward quickly but not to fast that it’s overwhelming. And regarding the comment about religion, I am not religious myself and frankly find that stuff confusing and sill, BUT, religion is brought up 2 times, once in the very beginning purely for concept, and one more time midway through the book convenience of getting people where he wants them story wise and even at that it’s very brief and DOESN’T F#$KING MATTER. It’s an amazing book and I dislike stupid people (I just thought I’d add that last part in there just in case you didn’t pickup on that)

In top 3 core books

I must say I was pleasantly surprised how this core novel decided to go starting off in town is unique most core novels towns end up growing around them instead of just starting off in one.
It has a nice little spin on its monsters by using monster spawners and Scions which already has become very interesting in how they react to people and their own core. I will 100% by the next one and I will patiently wait for it till next time.

A Love Letter to DMs

As a happy member of the Forever DM club, this book feels like it was personally written for me. it's clear that the author knows how to balance power and play. who appreciates the finer points of creating not just a world but a fun experience for everyone involved. It's a unique perspective on isekai that I haven't seen done so well, and with such love, anywhere else. There moments that made me tear up, laugh, and cheer. Sometimes all at the same time. To players of TTRPGS this is a book that will help you understand your gamemaster. And to game masters, this is a love letter to all of us who sit behind that screen, plotting and scheming the best way to have fun.

great book and characters got just about everything you want in a book

loved the book, the voices, and the characters....characters got confusing though. it's the switch that gets you from one character to the other in chapters.
