Winter has come to the world, and still, Erin Solstice has no idea how she came to be an [Innkeeper].
Erin is running an inn outside the city of Liscor, but she’s no longer alone. Ryoka Griffin, the City Runner, has business in the south of Izril; she’s out on a dangerous delivery of her own. Yet while both young women have finally found their calling, more and more people are beginning to realize that these visitors from Earth don’t belong here.
Erin must find new guests and old for her inn while expanding her tentative business. Staying safe would also be nice. At the same time, some pesky creatures have arrived to herald winter, and they bring mischief and danger unlike anything she’s ever seen. But as more and more children of Earth begin appearing, the cold of winter is the least of Erin’s worries.

Just keeps getting better and bigger!
This is such a fantastic series that takes a little commitment as the world is so vast and growing every chapter. The characters are also growing with the vast world and are changing as the story progresses which makes it very easy to attach yourself to at least one of the main characters. There is so much happening in every corner of the world which ( for some reader turns them off) may take awhile before certain stories or narratives can progress further without your patience and faith that the overall narrative will continue to make sense and not fall apart.
I can see the negative opinions on this series and can respect them. It’s a commitment. It’s time consuming. And it’s very emotional at times when you have invested 65 hours into ONE book. You get very attached to the characters involved and they make you feel and think about life in a different way. It’s wholesome , scary , violent , beautiful , intelligent and very very fun!
If you like to have fun while going through an emotion journey while reading a book. This is for you!
Enjoy! And keep going!! Keep moving through it……trust me.

i love this book
this series is so excellent that I marathoned a 61hr book. the protagonists and world building in this series are some of the best I've seen. in particular I like how distinct and real each character feels.

Awesome
I love this series. This is my first LitRPG series and first time listening to audiobooks. I'm so addicted. And the author is definitely improving over time. The performance of the voice actor is phenomenal. She is fantastic. You can identify all the characters by their unique voices, which she does so well - of any gender. The story is so different from most fantasy that I'm used to. Sure it's a bit slow at times and the author can drag on with repetitive descriptions but it's really just fun, and interesting. There are always little mysteries and foreshadowing of more interesting things to come. And I love that the world is just different. I've read hundreds and hundreds of SciFi and fantasy books and certain things just get so overdone. This is not to say it's without its tropes but it's just nice to not have ethereal elves that love nature and big, bad orcs and carbon copy dwarves, etc. The antinium are fantastic, probably all my favourite characters, just so different and interesting and the voice acting just kicks it up a notch. I love the gnolls from classic D&D and just the level system, I've never had that in a book and thought it would be so stupid but it's actually really cool and fun. I don't know why I was so prepared to dislike the genre and the series, since I love TTRPGs, video games (especially RPGs) and fantasy novels so I should have expected to like them both. But given how much fun I have been having and how much I was ready to hate them that says something. Definitely recommend this series.
