Twenty years on, Frank is still in Dublin, working as an undercover cop. He's cut all ties with his dysfunctional family. Until his sister calls to say that Rosie's suitcase has been found.

Loved it!
This story was so well written in my opinion. The narrator was wonderful and accurate. When I got to the end I felt moved, like I had really experienced the story. I love this series and this author in general!

Amazing
Tana French does it again. The characters are so real the reader sinks into their skins. Her writing is simply spellbinding and her stories are so humanly relatable. And her narrators are fantastic and Gerry O’Brien delivers! But this novel in particular is so good neither plot twists nor misdirections are needed; it’s simply her best yet.

Great dialogue
I felt an intimate part of every conversation in this book, especially the family feuds! Highly realistic dialogue, even between dad and young daughter. One bummer: (spoiler alert) I thought it was too easy to guess who the killer was, right from the start.

Loved it. Narrator deserves 10 stars!
Great story. Tana French is a fascinating writer. The characters are so clearly described that by the end you feel that you know them intimately and will miss them when you’ve finished. Gerry O’Brien brought them all to life so vividly with his wonderful voice and interpretation. Thank you. I wish he’d narrate many more. He’s a gem.

Glad I stuck with the series
After the dismal second book in this series, I wasn't going to continue, but had already purchased the third, so I gave it a listen, and I'm glad I did. This book, Faithful Place, was so much better than even the first book. The story captivated interest and had what the second book sorely missed . . . believability.
Gerry O'Brien's narration was wonderful too!

Brought back memories ofgrowing up in Newfoundland
A good read especially if you're father was Irish with a temper and you're family was large and everyone was in survival mode whilst "growing up"

Outstanding
If I could give more than 5 stars for the narrator, I would. It was fantastic. It surely helped that the story was as good as the performance. Tana French is an expert in dialogue and this book shows off her expertise of the craft. Can't wait for the next one.

My fave Tana French so far
With each Tana, I find it a bit jarring that it’s a new narrator. But as always, the narrator is excellent.
Somehow this book struck me deepest of all of Tana’s, and I’ve read all she’s released. The family dynamics were so painfully detailed and completely credible and of course heartbreaking. I read the books out of order, so coming to this one I was truly surprised at the gentleness in Frank during any parenting scenes. That’s what stuck with me the most.
As with all her books, the writing itself is gorgeous and often lyrical.
