Atmospheric brilliance

Stephen Fry is one of the greatest orators ever born, these are some of the best ghost stories ever written, and the atmospheric sound effects in this presentation enhance but never distract.

It says that this is Stephen Fry’s definitive collection, though I deeply hope that he has more “definitive” ghost stories to make another volume. I would enjoy that greatly.

He’s too lovely

Whatever Stephen Fry narrates I buy. His voice is perfect, and so lovely, that it’s like sweet music to my ears. I could hardly pay attention to the fact that these were ghost stories because his voice is more like a lullaby than a scary event. The last two stories did catch my attention, and indeed ghostly, but nothing here made my hair stand up on end. That’s fine by me, I’d much rather it stayed down and allowed Stephen’s voice to lull me into that state of bliss. So, it could be Trojans, or Harry Potter or poetry… it’s always Stephen making me happy.
