I enjoy the history throughout the book and I especially enjoy listening to books read by Grover Gardner. He has a compelling story teller in him.

Bringing History to Life

I studied a lot of American history in university but much time in school is spent on political facts. Historical Fiction, like the writings of authors like John Jakes deals with the lives of everyday people, which is much more interesting. I’ve listened to every audiobook book by John Jakes and really enjoy his books.
