Publisher's Summary

BOOK 2 IN THE IRON DRUID CHRONICLES

Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, doesn’t care much for witches. Still, he’s about to make nice with the local coven by signing a mutually beneficial nonaggression treaty - when suddenly the witch population in modern-day Tempe, Arizona, quadruples overnight. And the new girls are not just bad, they’re badasses with a dark history on the German side of World War II.

With a fallen angel feasting on local high school students, a horde of Bacchants blowing in from Vegas with their special brand of deadly decadence, and a dangerously sexy Celtic goddess of fire vying for his attention, Atticus is having trouble scheduling the witch hunt. But aided by his magical sword, his neighbor’s rocket-propelled grenade launcher, and his vampire attorney, Atticus is ready to sweep the town and show the witchy women they picked the wrong Druid to hex.

Iron Druid Book 2 - Hexed

Simple, honest urban fantasy. Brilliant performance by L. Daniels : wide range of voices, smart and humourous.

great story line. The dog steals the story and I enjoyed everything about him. This is quickly becoming a favorite series to listen to.

love the book and characters

I really like the story and the characters and the plot and everything. The one thing that really gets on my nerves though is the Boise the actor does for the dog, I just so annoying

Atticus is a bit of a douche but fun light story

Like some others have said the dog tends to steal the show when he's there. If you like the performance of him, he's still great.

Atticus made me roll my eyes a bunch in this one, he's kind of an asshole at times, and it's getting a little tiresome hearing how attractive all the girls are and how he can't even look at some of them without reverting to horniness. Apparently he gets some character development on that front later, and since I got to these books via having listened to the first two Seven Kennings books, which the author wrote after these early druid books, I expect things overall will improve.

Aside Atticus being a horny little paranoid jerk now and then, he's still also funny, Oberon is the best dog ever, and sometimes you just want a story that gets to its finale in less than 23 hours or whatever and is fun along the way.

I think Mr Daniels does a better job with the male voices than the female ones but it was all plenty good enough to keep me listening. I certainly couldn't do any accents in my head if I was reading it! (authentic or otherwise)
