From Ed and Lorraine Warren, the demonologists featured in The Conjuring horror films, comes the story of the most terrifying case of demonic possession in the United States. It became the basis for the hit film The Haunting in Connecticut starring Virginia Madsen. Shortly after moving into their new home, the Snedeker family is assaulted by a sinister presence that preys one-by-one on their family. Exhausting all other resources, they call up the world-renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren, who have never encountered a case as frightening as this.

No one had warned the Snedekers their new house used to be an old funeral home. Their battle with an inexplicable and savage phenomena had only just begun. What started as a simple poltergeist escalated into a full-scale war, an average American family battling the deepest, darkest forces of evil a war this family could not afford to lose.

Too sexual for me

Way too descriptive when there was sexual encounters. Even when there wasn’t, they used sexual analogy.

Chilling

Love the book, a good mix of supernatural and psychological horror. Gets quite sexual at times which did make me feel uneasy but I still love the story. despite all of the negativity towards it regarding if it’s true or not I definitely recommend reading it

Classic paranormal story

Excellent job (as always) from Todd Haberkorn. Probably the best voice actors out there.

Story itself starts a bit slow but grows more and more suspenseful as it goes on.

Worth the listen if you are a fan of paranormal stories or a fan of horror. One of the better stories from The Warrnes library.

Intriguing

Amazing story, unbelievable details and very scary... hard a hard time keeping up with the timing, too many remarks on each comment the actual members of the family said, but overall shockingly evil...
