Couldn't Put it Down!

I could listen to Christopher Ryan Grant read the phone book. It helps that this book was also an incredible book.

Great book & narrator

When I first began this book, I didn't think I'd like it. As I heard more of the story, my interest began to peak. Willie Nelson is a humble man & has a very good grasp of the important things in life which is quite welcoming in times like this. He's never forgotten his roots & champions many causes. I love that about him. This turned out to be quite a revealing book & I'm glad I chose to listen to it. He certainly has good words that many can live by. Thank you, Willie, for sharing this with the world.
The narrator does a really great job of sounding like the author which makes it that much more enjoyable.

Great stories from the redheaded stranger..

I love these old tales from experienced musicians that few of us have ever heard, and Willie Nelson has had one incredible life! Narration was very well done.

I enjoyed every minute of it.

Willie is a great story teller which I learned listening to his music. I expected the same from his book and was not disappointed. The narrator is awesome and even sounds like Willie. Loved it!

Loved it.

I’ve been a fan since I can remember, my mum was a fan and I guess it rubbed off on me. A well written, entertaining account of a wild and often public life. #audible1

Simply the best

One of the most entertaining and informative biographies I have ever read. A lesson on history, humility, and what home truly means. A dappling of politics in evolution serves to highlight he deep thinker and big feeler that is Willie Nelson.

The Real Deal

A trip down Memory Lane with Willie. Willie is about 90 now and I can’t believe I hadn’t found his autobiography before now. Very enjoyable, honest and entertaining. It’s a who’s who, whodunnit for over 60 years (and before) in the country music industry. Thank you, Willie for staying so upbeat despite all you went through and always telling it like it is. A very generous man who lived the laws of kindness and compassion ♥️
