About this listen
The Savage Wars never ended.
As Kill Team Victory and General Chhun take control of the cities on Kima, a war every bit as spiritual as it is physical rages in the deepest parts of galaxy’s edge.
The Legion and the Republic military at large struggle to deal with a sudden multitude of planetary invasions and uprisings, with rumors of mysterious ships breaking the peace achieved by Article Nineteen.
Meanwhile, Captain Aeson Keel continues his search for Prisma, aided by friends from both his past and present. But only mankind’s oldest ally can hold back the tide of ultimate destruction. For an unknown darkness is closing in, and the Republic once again stands on the threshold of galactic war.

The mission is simple. Escort an emissary to an intergalactic peace summit. Try not to get in the way. Lt. Magnus and his 79th Recon Team have certainly handled worse, after all. But when an explosion rocks the tower and sends everyone into a panic, Magnus and his asset find themselves cut off from the rest of the team. Worse still, a dying alien chieftain gives them a priceless drive of intel, marking them for death. The mission has officially changed. Story
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

Well written but seems short.
I'm a huge fan of these books and the authors but it seems like the books are getting shorter with more filler every time.
Still another fantastic book.

Dragging
I really hate giving this a bad review because Cole and Anspach are great, but the whole prisma saga seems to be dragging on. it's hardcto wait fir part two. R.C.Bray does great like always. I recommend waiting for part 2 of KTF before reading this, so you're not left hanging.

Great story and narrator but clear money grab tactic
Splitting what amounts to 18 hours of actual story time (no I don't count 2 hours of authors notes as paid content) into two books for no reason other than more money. Besides this underhanded tactic for the finale, it is a stellar series.

if you're this far into the series, you know how good it is but this was is seriously short, it says 10 hours but the story is only 8 with 2 hours of "bonus" material

Great series, Total scam
Each book in the series has given us less for our money than each previous installment.
This books actual run time is about 60% of what is advertised, with what is essentially a basement quality podcast to fluff out the end.
The Q&A should not be considered paid content.
Regardless of the interesting storyline and badass characters in badass situations (all very well narrated by rc bray), each book is increasingly filled with non consequential side stories and subplots desperately trying to keep an ever growing cast of good characters relevant.
None of this can be accomplished well, when the authors refuse to actually put out a full length book.
I used to look forward to these books a lot. Top 5 series for me for sure.
While other authors continue to put great value into their work, sometimes increasingly as a series goes on. These two have perfected the bait and switch with abrupt cliff hangers as the bait.
I hope this is seen by the authors. Get it together boys.

feel like I was ripped off, but still loved it
always love the stories, characters and the narrator that brings it all too life, I am slightly sad however that what I thought was a 10 hr book is only 8 hrs cause the last 2 hrs are authors notes 😮💨
