About this listen
The number-one best-selling pioneer of "fratire" and a leading evolutionary psychologist team up to create the dating book for guys.
Whether they conducted their research in life or in the lab, experts Tucker Max and Dr. Geoffrey Miller have spent the last 20-plus years learning what women really want from their men, why they want it, and how men can deliver those qualities.
The short answer: Become the best version of yourself possible, then show it off. It sounds simple, but it's not. If it were, Tinder would just be the stuff you use to start a fire. Becoming your best self requires honesty, self-awareness, hard work, and a little help.
Through their website and podcasts, Max and Miller have already helped over one million guys take their first steps toward Miss Right. They have collected all of their findings in Mate, an evidence-driven, seriously funny playbook that will teach you to become a more sexually attractive and romantically successful man, the right way:
- No "seduction techniques"
- No moralizing
- No bullshit
Just honest, straightforward talk about the most ethical, effective way to pursue the win-win relationships you want with the women who are best for you.
Much of what they've discovered will surprise you, some of it will not, but all of it is important and often misunderstood. So listen up, and stop being stupid!

Based one of the largest studies of human mating ever undertaken, encompassing more than 10,000 people of all ages from 37 cultures worldwide, The Evolution of Desire is the first work to present a unified theory of human mating behavior.

With an accessible tone and a healthy disregard for political correctness, this lively and eminently readable book popularizes the latest research in a cutting-edge field of study: one that turns much of what we thought we knew about human nature upside-down.

Surprisingly funny, smart and well written
This book is different from the psychology and other serious non-fiction books I am reading. It made me burst out laughing within the first few minutes, once I got over the shock from the informal tone and swearing. After all, the book that recommended the author Geoffrey Miller was on psychology with references to poetry. It's a quality book however. It's funny and it's a valuable addition to a man's library.

Life-changing
Great book for anyone who struggles with meeting and interacting with woman. It's not just about meeting girls but also becoming a better person. I just wish the website the author's mentions still worked. However, the reading list in the PDF has pointed me towards some great books that do more than the website ever could. I found "Men are From Mars and Women are From Venus", and "The FastDiet," just to name a few.

My new bible
I recently found myself divorced at 30 years old. I've read all about being a "nice guy" and how it led me nowhere, so I needed to find a way to get the love life I craved. I was skeptical of Tucker Max's name on the book because I was a fan of his previous books, but it was not the type of man I really wanted to be.
I was hooked immediately and decided to practice a lot of the teachings in this guide, and I am happy to report that this stuff works. I took control of myself as a man and used some of the self-bettering techniques and advice to meet women. I only wish this book existed in my early 20's

More than just great dating advice
Mate was surprisingly funny and full of thoughtfully presented and well researched information on the male and female experience in dating. The authors present ample examples of what we’re doing wrong and should be doing better as men looking to improve our lives and attraction skills. Listen as an audiobook and I bet you’ll find time to get through it in a few days. The chapters build on subjects that we’ve taken for granted or haven’t been taught before. Beware… this book will give you superpowers with women if you understand and apply the basic concepts in this book.
