About this listen

The world has ended, and those worthy of it have received the chance for a new life in a new reality.

Zach grew in power and thrived in the post-Framework world. He became a respected leader, a shining example of what it meant to be good. But as the world ended, he had only one thought: to punish the monster that had killed the world long before the Framework ended it. Yet not even with his incredible power was he able to stand against the World Ender. His arrival in the new realty, the Infinite Realm, gives him the chance to grow stronger, to find the monster again - and make it pay.

Ryun survived the chaos after the arrival of the Framework by pushing harder than anyone else. He grew in power until he became the most powerful being that had ever walked the planet; but he is hated by the world, called a monster by all others, the World Ender. As the world ends and he steps into a new one, where people stronger than him have lived for centuries, he finds himself lost and without purpose. The only thing that had mattered to him had been lost to him long ago. He truly was the monster that people considered him to be, and he now finds himself wondering if this new reality has a place for someone like him - but he had never been one for lying down and dying without a fight. One world fell to his power, and another might follow.

great read if you like cultivation

Loved everything about the book except the main characters name. The guy comes from America and has a bunch of generic friend names you'd expect, except his is Ryun. Which you'd expect to sound like Rye-Ann (or Ryan) but the narrator pronounces it Re-yune.

it bugs me for half the book but eventually you get used to it.

Otherwise, good story but loses a star due to the naming thing

Looking forwards to more

This was fantastic, I loved almost everything about it... everything but Zach... f*** Zach... (super well written character but he sucks).

Another good one from ivan kal

Really enjoyed this series and that different systems represented a lot of the favored progression/litrpg fantasy tropes done in a unique way

Awesome

Great fights, loads of climatic events. Bouncing from past to present was very well done

Good but difficult

First thing: Zac isnt my favorite character.

There's a split timeline where events from the past are told in a few chapters, then events from the present, and back and forth as such. I found it made it difficult to follow the plot progression quite often.

Need to be a RPG fan

The writing is okay, plot moves around. But it’s standard Russian RPG Lit. What is interesting is some of the deeper exploration of class and unlimited paths. It shows a strong affinity to those who choose to become masters of their art, versus those who choose the quickest routes to power.

I would tie it back to those who learn, practice and perfect, versus those who read the game guide to find where a over powered weapon is so they can hack and slash there way through it. If you appreciate the game and the time it takes to become good and all the little activities you need to engage in to truly know, then this book will resonate.

As with martial arts, practice and routine and a system make you strong. So the approach to power and respecting those who also understand power and how to achieve it through understanding and will is consistent.

The look at morality and the laws of the land you are in are also well explored. Peoples comfort levels with what they know versus what they don’t understand or their own views and imposing them on others is a good theme, that I can only tie back to rpg’s and people who play them understand their in game morality doesn’t need to match their in life morality.

I liked it alot.
