“Nonstop thrills! The best Feeney book yet!” —FREIDA MCFADDEN
“Propulsive, compulsive, addictive.” —LISA JEWELL

“This audiobook knocks it out of the park, thanks to its dynamic narration and evocative sound design that elicits the feel of an old-school radio drama. The layered audio elements, like the labored breaths of a character climbing a hill or the howling wind and crashing waves, draw listeners deep into the story’s world. These vivid soundscapes don’t just enhance the atmosphere—they transform the listening experience into something truly cinematic and unforgettable.” — Booklist (Starred Review)

Eden Fox, an artist on the brink of her big break, sets off for a run before her first exhibition. When she returns to the home she recently moved into, Spyglass, an enchanting old house in Hope Falls, nothing is as it should be. Her key doesn’t fit. A woman, eerily similar to her, answers the door. And her husband insists that the stranger is his wife.

One house. One husband. Two women. Someone is lying.

Six months earlier, a reclusive Londoner called Birdy, reeling from a life-changing diagnosis, inherits Spyglass. This unexpected gift from a long-lost grandmother brings her to the pretty seaside village of Hope Falls. But then Birdy stumbles upon a shadowy London clinic that claims to be able to predict a person's date of death, including her own. Secrets start to unravel, and as the line between truth and lies blurs, Birdy feels compelled to right some old wrongs.

My Husband’s Wife is a tangled web of deception, obsession, and mystery that will keep you guessing until the final minutes. Prepare yourself for the ultimate mind-bending marriage thriller and step inside Spyglass—if you dare—to experience a story where nothing is as it seems.

Editorial Review

Feeney strikes again!
I know when I hit play on a book by Alice Feeney, I’m in for a ride into an otherworldly kind of suspenseful story. I mean, shouldn’t it be, “My Ex-Husband’s Wife”? So, I went along for the ride into another interesting town with a cast of characters going about their lives. Except for ... nah, I’m not going to tell you. I’m still rewinding this book in my mind to find the clues I missed. When you find them, let me know. Hint: It’s not over till it’s over. —Yvonne D., Audible Editor

I quite enjoyed this book
The story was excellent
. There were so many plot twists.
It kept me intrigued
I did, however, find it very difficult to follow the characters
The narrator did not change her voice, or intonation so it sounded like the same character speaking throughout the entire book.

the male characters had another narrator.

That said, I would love to see this in a movie
I’m sure it would be less confusing

Great story

Listen, I can almost always guess what’s you going to happen in a book, but this one really got me. Was totally surprised, multiple times. Loved it.

This Book Tricked Me!

I can appreciate a good plot twist.. when it’s done in a smart, well executed way. This was not. Most of the book was incredibly predictable and the parts that weren’t didn’t make sense. I love a twist that makes you go, “oh I didn’t see that coming but now I see how it all came together”. This was not it.

And so many mentions of the Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) without one reference to the origin of the celebration being in ancient Mesoamerican cultures. This book acts like this town invented this celebration and they don’t know why. Nah.

Plot twist was a huge stretch
