About this listen

Emory: Will Grayson has always been an animal. Reckless, wild, and someone who was never bound by a single rule other than to do exactly what he wanted. There was no way his grandfather was going to risk him humiliating the family again.

Not that the last time was entirely his fault. He might've enjoyed backing me into corners in high school when no one was looking, so they wouldn't catch on that Mr. Popular actually wanted a piece of that quiet, little nerd he loved to torture so much, but...he could also be warm. And fierce in keeping me safe.

The truth is...he has a right to hate me. It's all my fault. And I regret nothing.

Will: I never minded being locked up. I learned a long time ago that being treated like an animal gives you permission to act like one. Their only mistake is believing anything I do is an accident. I can sit in this house with no internet, television, liquor, or girls, but I'll come out of here with something far more frightening to my enemies. A plan.

I just didn't expect one of my enemies to come to me. I can smell her hiding in the house. She's here. Blackchurch houses five prisoners. I'm only one of her problems.

Contains mature themes.

The character development

I loved all of this series. The characters came alive for me over all of the books. The trauma that hit all of them resonated with me and although I felt for Damon and Banks deeper than I did for the others, their traumas weren't any less real.

Highly recommend if you can handle all of the usual assault types and get thrills from being possessed.

I hate this FMC

Loved each books. But this one I just hate! The FMC is the worse for an abuse victim is just a pushover!

OMG!!!!

Okay first of all…… AMAZING series!! Loved every book, but what the heck!!! The cliff hanger at the end of this book with no knowing or another coming 🥺 I just can’t!!! I am at a loss right now!!!
I really hope Penelope has some kind of thought of creating another book, because this does not sound like it’s the end or at least can’t leave it like this!!

Over all amazing! I thought I had a book hangover before lol but damn….

Contrived

This was the weakest book. The story did not flow naturally. A lot of the plot and even the sex scenes felt forced. It was difficult to relate with the FMC. The MMC’s development was also forced. Some of the sex scenes were over the top.

This felt like Emmy’s hastily finished gazebo - like the author lost interest but had to finish the series. It felt like an afterthought, like, oh wait we forgot about Will.
