Publisher's Summary
Help Wanted: Grumpy mountain man seeks baby momma. Job is an incubator position only. Surrogate must be impervious to grunting as the form of communication and nosy brotherly neighbors. Rustic mountain range housing available upon request.
I wanted to pummel my irritating brothers when they posted their own version of a wanted ad to help me with my life.
But I can’t fault the results once the right woman lands in my lap.
Becoming a single father is not a decision I made lightly. In fact, it’s the biggest decision of my entire life.
Which is why when I interview Trista, I know she’s perfect.
She’s wild, she’s opinionated, she wears cowboy boots. Even my pet goat loves her…
She’s the exact type of person I was holding out for.
And to my great horror, I realize on our first night of attempting this baby-making dance—when the lights are low, the cheap wine is flowing and the home-insemination supplies are laid out on the kitchen counter—I want to do a lot more than just make her my surrogate.
I want to make her mine.

Another great from Amy! *duet narration*
Fantastically narrated! Duet narration is the best and this is another gem from Amy! Loved to see/hear about some of my faves from previous books! The banter was great, the spice was steamy, the animals were adorable.
Last on the list is still my fave but dang this was a great read!

A Heartwarming and Funny Slow-Burn Romance
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Heat Level: 🔥🔥🔥🧨
📚E-BOOK📚 &🎧AUDIO🎧
“Nine Month Contract” by Amy Daws delivers a delightful, slow-burn romance that expertly blends humor and heartfelt moments. This isn’t my first book by Amy Daws, and once again, she doesn’t disappoint. The narration, a duet by Erin Mallon and the ever-impressive Teddy Hamilton, was perfect. You really can’t go wrong with Teddy's voice, which effortlessly brings Wyatt's gruff mountain man charm to life.
Wyatt and Trista’s story is full of witty banter, touching moments, and an unconventional romance centered around surrogacy. The subject is handled with humor while still allowing for moments of emotional depth, giving us a clear look into both characters' perspectives. Daws manages to lighten the weight of such a unique subject with just the right amount of fun, making it a pleasure to read.
What truly stood out for me was how much I adored the relationship between Trista and Wyatt. I’m a sucker for pregnancy romances, but this one took a different route with the surrogacy plotline, adding a fresh dynamic to the genre. The way surrogacy influenced their connection made it a unique journey, both heartfelt and compelling.
I also appreciate how Amy Daws writes curvy heroines. As a curvy woman myself, it’s refreshing to see characters like Trista, who are unapologetically themselves, featured in romance. It’s something you don’t see as often as you should, and it made the story even more relatable.
All in all, "Nine Month Contract" is a great start to the Mountain Men Matchmaker series. With plenty of laughs, a swoon-worthy romance, and a meaningful storyline, it’s an enjoyable read that fans of slow-burn romance will love.

Great story
I ended up really liking this audiobook. It was refreshing to have a main character that wasn't a typical beautiful, petite, perfect woman. Trista is an everyday woman. Not a perfect size, worried about stretch marks, cellulite and wobbly bits like a realistic woman. Except she advocated for loving yourself.
The audiobook held my interest with a good story that was a nice mix of humor, passion and love all around.

I Laughed Out Loud and Loved Every Second
Review by Roxs Reads:
Nine Month Contract by Amy Daws
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Comic Levity: 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Steam: 😤😤😤
Sexual Tension: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🎧Audiobook Narration by Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon
Narration Quality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Emotional Impact: ❤❤❤❤❤
Voice Action (DUET) 👍👍👍👍👍
Nine Month Contract had me laughing out loud, giggling, and chuckling. It kept me entertained and engaged. It invoked the emotional roller coaster of feelings when things got deep and personal between Wyatt and Trista. Their pain from the past brought pain to my heart. But mostly it brought a smile to my face.
Nine Month Contract by Amy Daws should appeal to those who love a lot of comedy woven into their romance. This MC is a whole lot of GRUMPY with sprinkles of MOUNTAIN SUNSHINE who does best when allowed to spread his love language: Acts of Service without having a defiant, stubborn recipient, who has her 6-inch heels dug firmly into Fletcher Mountain, balking his every move. His struggle is real, and the more he tries to deny feelings for his new neighbor/surrogate baby mama, the grumpier he gets.
I would identify this book as a bit of a slow-burn, but that just intensified the sexual tension with every chapter. It’s like we knew they’d finally succumb to their primal needs, but just how long was author Amy Daws going to put us through that wringer? If I didn’t have gel nails, which are impossible to chew, those puppies would be gone! There were so many scenes where the heat was rising, the juices were flowing, but something stomped out the embers and turned off the faucet.
🎧AUDIOBOOK REVIEW🎧
When Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon work together on an audiobook, it is always a listening treat. Nine Month Contract is one of my favorite narrations from them as a team. My experience with this story was heightened through the audiobook. I listened along as I read, or I read as I listened along. Whichever way you want to put it, the narration of the characters was superb. Yes, I knew Wyatt was a grumpy mountain man, but Teddy Hamilton brought out the grumpy. He portrayed the character with the right tone in every sentence. When Wyatt was frustrated, you heard it. When Wyatt was emotional, you heard it. Some of these scenes may not have been comfortable to read (I'd love to hear the out-takes, LOL), but the narration flowed seamlessly with not a guffaw or glitch in the voice to be heard.
Erin Mallon was equally as good. She brought out all the emotions from the characters. She portrayed all the females with a different tone or speaking quality making it easy to identify the speaking characters in each scene, even when there were multiple females chatting. The duet narration style is my favorite. No listening to a man try to lower his voice to be the woman. The quality of the narration when going back and forth was seamless. Any breaks in the dictation were subtle and did not diminish the listening experience.

Heartfelt and hot
Pulled me in and I loved the story. I found the male narrator was a bit aggressive in his tone even when it didn't fit what was being said. Glad I didn't let it stop me from finishing though.
