About this listen
Micky Ferro has lived her entire life according to other people's expectations. She married a man, had two children, and became a dutiful stay-at-home mom in suburban Sydney. Until she realized, with a little help from her best friend, that her picture-perfect life wasn't making her happy.
On the first anniversary of her divorce, Micky decides it's time for the next step in her journey and gets a job at her neighborhood coffee shop, The Pink Bean. Becoming a barista sparks a big change in Micky's daily routine, but could loud-spoken American customer Robin do the same for her love life? Contains mature themes.

Good but not great
A decent story about a woman in her early 40s realizing she's a lesbian, though it almost feels like she's bi and the author is just forcing she's a lesbian on you. Good performance by Angela Dawe as always.

Sweet and Hot
The sex scenes were really good and I enjoyed the journey of these two people finding each other and a way to be togegher.
I get where the other reviewer is coming from saying it feels like maybe Micky is bi, not a lesbian, though. As a bi spectrum person, I certainly find it odd she says multiple times she was madly in love with her ex husband for years and yet when their matriage is over she skipped straight over "am I bi or a lesbian?" and just went straight to "am I a lesbian?" And yeah, I am primarily sapphic too so it's not that I'm not getting having a more immediate visceral reaction to women... it just doesn't erase I'm attracted to men as well and I find it odd that someone who agonized as long as Micky didn't consider that angle at all.
