About this listen

THE ACTION-PACKED PREQUEL TO PREDATOR: HUNTING GROUNDS

In the aftermath of the events of Predator 2, US Marine Scott Devlin is assigned to the clean-up operation in Los Angeles. He is soon thrust into a world of secretive government agents, highly-advanced technology, and an unstoppable juggernaut lone agent, Alan "Dutch" Schaefer.

DUTCH IS BACK

As Devlin rises through the ranks, working in elite counter-terrorist units, he gathers evidence, slowly piecing together the shocking truth of what he saw that night. Fighting for freedom from the jungles of South America to the Scottish Highlands, Devlin learns who the real enemy is, and how to fight for survival. He's not the only one fighting back against the Hunters. Dutch has been working in the shadows ever since his first encounter in Central America, gathering knowledge, weapons, and teammates.

Fighting both the Hunters and shadowy government agencies, Dutch and Devlin must team up to take the fight to the aliens - to become the predators.

Just Awesome!

Stalking Shadows is by far the best Predator book on this platform! It's not perfect but it's close!

Mark Morris, and James A. Moore really understand the lore behind Predator, and they deliver some great stuff with a lot of detail! The only problem is the ending felt a bit rushed, and I really wanted more!
Publishers need to understand that more is always better when it comes to this kind of story. If there is already established lore in the world, expand upon it! I really wanted this to be like a couple hours longer. It probably would have benefited from it.

James Cronin is back delivering his best read out of all the Predator books too! He has definitely improved from "Hunters and Hunted", and he really gave each character their own personality! Especially with Dutch! I wasn't looking for a Arnold Schwarzenegger impression, and I'm glad he didn't go that route, he did his best accent he could for the character and if worked!

Great job!

The narrator isn't in it

I have a few other books that the narrates has narrated and he's good in them, however he might as well be calling for Bueller in this one.
The energy isn't there, feels like he's just reading it and not narrating it! there's a difference.

So for such as iconic character as Dutch, you know get to the. choper, which is the only reason that I picked up this book! it's off putting. So if Dutch is Arnold S. and by description Sarge would be Lou F. the voices for these two don't work for me.

hope the narrator does better in his next book
