A bedtime staple
Richard Armitage’s deep soothing voice and the sounds of nature are an irresistible combination. It has become a bedtime staple to ease my way into sleep. I hope he records more. My only gripe is the instrumental between each segment. It sounds like blaring car horns. So one moment you are laying there relaxed in a tent in Scotland and then the next you’re stuck in traffic with someone laying on their horn. It would be nice if they could do another one with a thunderstorm and a blizzard.

Relaxing....BUT....
Richard Armitage's voice is blissful. Not only is he a fantastic actor but he's a gifted audio book narrator. My quibble with this recording is the balance between his voice and the nature sounds in each chapter. I listen to this to fall asleep and find it helps if I keep the sound quite low - that really helps me fall asleep. If I turn my phone low enough at the spoken parts, I cannot hear the sounds of the rain or wind but if I turn up the volume, the spoken parts (to say nothing of the annoying music used to "mark" the start of each chapter) will jar me back awake. I wish I could turn up the volume on just the unspoken/nature sounds.
