Publisher's Summary

INSTANT NATIONAL BESTSELLER!

The new explosive, up-all-night crime thriller from the author of the hit bestsellers The Widow and The Suspect

THREE WOMEN.

When the body of forty-four-year-old Karen Simmons is found abandoned in remote woodland, journalist Kiki Nunn hopes this will be the big break she so desperately needs.

ONE KILLER.

Because she has a head start on all the other reporters. Just a week before Karen was killed, Kiki interviewed her about the highs and lows of midlife romance. Karen told her all about kissing strangers under the stars, expensive meals, roses. About the scammers and the creeps . . .

ONE CHANCE TO STOP HIM.

While the police appear to be focusing on local suspects, Kiki sets out to write the definitive piece on one woman's fatal search for love.

But she will soon learn that the search for truth can be just as deadly . . .

What the critics say

"This novel hits home. And it hurts. Tapping into very real fears faced by all women at some time in their lives, it delivers a terrifyingly real and addictive story."—Sharon Bolton

"A police procedural like no police procedural you have ever read. . . .moving relentlessly toward the deeply satisfying and surprising "Perry Mason Moment" of a denouement."—Bookpage (starred review)

"Another fiendishly plotted crime novel from Fiona Barton, highlighting the grubby underbelly of the dating scene. I predict a bestseller."—Penny Batchelor

Fantastic!!

I’ve listened to all of this author’s books and have enjoyed them all but this one is now my favourite! Very good writing and smart story telling. The narration was very good also. Wish I could listen to it again for the first time.
