About this listen
I am a passionate driving enthusiast, fabricator, and talented racecar driver. I can't drive boring cars, I need a daily source of driving happiness. This book is my personal story of EV ownership to show that an EV can be fun, work for almost anyone, and it may be the best option for many. I am a middle-class guy with a family and a very active lifestyle. We purchased a new electric car in the low $20,000 price range. This car turned out to be one of the best decisions we have ever made for our finances, time management, and overall happiness. I share my personal experience with all the details of deciding on the purchase, driving attributes, cost of charging, winter driving, and maintenance costs. You will learn everything there is to know about owning and driving an electric vehicle, and learn how an EV can be fun, economical, and reliable.
This book is also a buyer's guide with information about all current new and used EVs currently for sale. I also reveal the EV models arriving soon, including the incredible electric trucks and electric SUVs coming soon. Other details include financial incentives, tax credits, and different electric car charging stations.
The last part of this book discusses our power supply and grid—ideas for now.
Driving is what I love; I am an old-school car guy, competitive racecar driver, and chassis engineer. I pay very close attention to design and detail. My Automotive love language is function and value. I love the feel of a well-made vehicle that functions well for its intended purpose. I am not your prototypical EV driver. But, after owning one for three years, I fell in love with it, here's why.
