Ce que les critiques en disent

"Due handles the potentially unwieldy elements of her novel with confidence, cross-cutting smoothly from past to present, introducing revelatory facts that alter the interpretation of earlier scenes and interjecting powerfully orchestrated moments of supernatural horror that sustain the tale's momentum....[Due is] a writer who grows better with each book." Couldn't finish it. Very slow moving. The parts that were, I suspect, .meant to be scary, were just ridiculous and not believable.

Too boring

This one was good, narrated well and an interesting story. I would love to know more about the grandmother's life. I hope the author releases prequels and sequels in this series.

A good story

I liked the story and the way it's told, revealing more info as it goes. It was a light read and I enjoyed it. I'm not sure if it is super memorable .
The reader is nice, she had a nice way of changing intonations to reflect different characters. As a native French speaker, she butchers the french and Creole parts a bit but I'll forgive XD

good

I think I might have been expecting a ghost story and it wasn't quite that. It was good but not amazing.
